Description:
This mod adds a new Iconic Tech Crusher and a new, iconic reflex sight.

The reflex sight is also available as a standalone Kanetsugu replacer with many reticle and colour variants.

The Tech is not just a name, it actually behaves like a Tech weapon.

Gains mod slots as you upgrade it. Has 1 mod slot at Uncommon rarity and gets a 2nd one at Rare rarity.

My aim is to make this weapon as balanced as possible (your feedback will be appreciated), while at the same time making it a powerful and viable choice.

Disclaimer: This weapon was balanced around a fully-equipped end-game build with skills supporting tech shotguns. Therefore it might feel kinda underwhelming at lower levels.

Acquisition:
Both the weapon and the reflex sight can be purchased from Wilson for a hefty price, because surely all you solos out there are swimming in eddies and having something new to spend them on is always nice.

Installation:
Extract directly into the main directory of Cyberpunk 2077.

For example if you have a Steam copy of Cyberpunk, it might be something like: D:\Steam\steamapps\common\Cyberpunk 2077\

Updating:
If you are just updating from an older version of this mod, follow the same steps as for installation (see above), except when asked if you want to overwrite existing files, pick 'yes for all'.

Changelog:
Version 1.3:
Reflex sight:
  • The reticle has been centered. Previously it has been positioned slightly below the actual aiming point.
  • The colour of the reticle has been refined to fit the Crusher Prototype T a bit more.
  • The body of the scope now uses a black plastic skin, instead of a carbon fiber one. It fits the gun a bit more in my opinion.
Damage calculation:
  • The weapon is now using a combination of an absolute DPS value of a vanilla Crusher in combination with a Prototype T DPS multiplier value, instead of just having an absolute DPS value set in stone.
  • This should theoretically achieve better behavior (damage scaling) when you have balancing mods installed, as this weapon will now scale off of a vanilla weapon that will be affected by the balancing mod/s.
  • In other words, Prototype T should now (at least in some cases) 'follow' the vanilla Crusher in terms of damage.

Version 1.2:
Added custom iconic reflex sights:
  • Can be bought from Wilson.
  • Based on Kanetsugu, has the same parameters, just the reticle is different.
  • Can only be equipped on the Crusher Prototype T.
New visual effects:
  • Tech (blue) muzzle effects and lights. Applies to muzzle effects in photo mode as well.
  • Added subtle lightning effects for when the gun is being charged, or is fully charged.
Weapon skin:
  • Toned down the opacity of the very visible smudge going all around the grip part and other minor tweaks.
Iconic perks:
  • Fully charged shots have pellet spread reduced by 75%, additional 40% armor penetration, improved headshot multiplier and effective/max range.
  • Each enemy you hit increases your movement speed by 1.5%, stacks 30 times, 1 stack lasts for 3 seconds.
Tweaked weapon parameters:
  • Now, the weapon has to be charged to deal any meaningful damage, though uncharged shots are still solid for finishing enemies off for example.
  • The fully charged iconic effect makes fully charged shots competitive with bolts, hopefully both having their specific uses:
  • Bolts for short ranged combat and area of effect thanks to Chain Lightning.
  • Fully charged shots for medium ranged combat. They excel at destroying weakspots and headshots.

Version 1.1:
Now comes with a custom skin. Requires you to obtain a new copy of the weapon if you are upgrading from 1.0 to get the new skin!

Version 1.0:
Initial release.

Short gameplay/action showcase:

Features showcase (skin, effects, iconic perk, crosshair etc.):

Known bugs:
Crosshair represents spread incorrectly:
  • Caused by the crosshair type itself, Nekomata has the same problem.
  • Visible when you equip the weapon for the first time...
  • The crosshair starts out being big...
  • But after you aim down sights or crouch, the crosshair gets smaller and never returns to it's original size.
Perfect charge indicator is stuck:
Perfect charge indicator on the reflex sight sometimes gets stuck and remains displayed - seems to be happening with vanilla scopes as well.
