Side window animation when in combat clips outside the Cybertruck body. This is most visible in white variation
Clipping issue when standing in the trunk
Turns at high speed can be wonky. Handling is pretty custom so it's a work in progress, and feedback is appreciated : Handling is fixed more or less with v1.1
Trunk/hood animations are work in progress :) I haven't prioritized this because well because both would be empty inside
Maybe other minor issues that I'm forgetting - if you see more, let me know!
I'm really curious about how this mod's gear setting emulates the behavior of an EV engine. I looked at the yaml file for this mod and found the gear setting quite weird compared to the normal settings of most vehicles.
The first and second gear starts at the same min speed, with the second gear having a slightly greater max speed. The third gear has a min speed equal to the max speed of the first gear. I just can't understand how this works as it goes against the convention of only overlapping two adjacent gears by 2-3 units. I tried to recreate this effect on another default vehicle (e.g. Arch Hella), but the engine's sound is still off (reaching local maximum too early and producing the sound of maximum rpm even if I set overal max rpm much higher than any local maximum).
I have the white version but was kind of interested in the original silver version but I don't see it up here anymore, are all the colors available in the one file or did you take down the other colors or?
Same comment as on the other one (weird congruence) : Any chance you could make it look like the one CDPR teased to Musk years back ? This one would look almost canon !
Yeah, I checked if someone made a model for this and no one had. If someone makes a model for it, I wouldn't mind importing it. I'm not great at Blender so I usually avoid modifying original files or making new ones :)
Far from even having a model, the only resource existing anywhere (publicly at least, the CDPR designer(s) who did it must have all we'd need for that, obviously...) is a color variant of it, although I quite prefer the yellow one more :
Oh, wow ! Hi Petii10, thank you so very much ! What a wonderful surprise :)
I'm wondering - hoping for this variant to be a weaponized one - whether you, MisterChedda and/or DennisReactive could somehow make the back of the truck have a sliding trunk cover (or "collapsing"/folding - kinda like the game's vanilla windows blinds) that would reveal a missile launcher ? And maybe the two front right holes could be the turrets ?
That'd would be such a dream coming true ! Regardless, if only for making it and seeing it, thanks again ! It really looks beautiful.
I'd like it to have windows tinted yellowish/blueish like the "vanilla" variants do , at least from the outside, but maybe that would be bad for gameplay in FPP if technical limitations were to prevent a clear unfiltered view... by the way, can't wait to experience THIS variant as the light exposition would be immensely better than the current one (which is already quite insane)...
And how about the license plate be placed in/on the rear right little bump you placed there - quite sexy looking beast that thing, the more I look at it, the more I love it !
Works good, I do get some strobing textures here and there but nothing that effects in game mostly photomode stuff. This ones taller than the uarog version lol
Yeah that is an issue. Creating a new audio resource for vehicles hasn't been done before AFAIK so something to explore. RIght now it's Makigai Mamai's sound, which feels quite electric in FPV. Not so much in TPV.
To be kinda lore-friendly (Tesla can't be an actual part of the CP world anyway), one could pretend it's a relic vehicle converted to a Chooh2 fueled thermal engine..
However, if you really want to give it a more EV-like feeling and can isolate/boost sounds, you could isolate the bikes' "overdub" sound CDPR put on top of the actual engine sounds... It's not that linear of a sound but it works well to reflect speed and is the most "EV-like" sounding one I can think of rn.

Yeah, Makigai MaiMai is a good idea. Nice and quiet.
yeah, might be a hybrid I haven't looked up the details and they have talked about adding in sounds artificially for e cars to sound like race cars in some racing leagues, it is mostly silent once you get up to higher speeds it's actually quite cool, slow speeds and normal speeds in traffic quiet but ramps up nicely with cool sound, mostly for people outside of the car and in games lol
The final version i made looks better (in my opinion) https://sketchfab.com/3d-models/cyberpunked-cybertruck-0763b18f50484449953b34ec3495af00
I hope we can collab with MisterChedda to get this one in the game. This was the main reason i made this model in hope i can drive it in Cyberpunk someday :D
hey Petti10! I tried to get in touch with you several times and I'm finally very glad you found this page now :)
This was intended as a vanilla variation as close as possible to the IRL cybertruck, I was planning anyway to use your designs in the variations I planned (like I said in the mod description) including a weaponised variation which would be your design as is more or less with just added turrets/rockets. Your final design is better than any vanilla cybertruck, no arguments there :)

Man, the screenshots don't do this justice--looks much better ingame, and the truck's design looks unabashedly well suited for Night City's dystopian esthetics!
Hella preem work on this, MisterChedda! THANK YOU for this mod! Endorsed!
PS~ If I were to critique the vehicle itself, I would only mention that it feels a little light, and considering it's a very heavy vehicle (almost 7k lbs), I would imagine it should feel about the same (or even heavier) weight than Claire's Thorton Mackinaw "Beast", which weighs in at almost 5k lbs (Thorton Mackinaw MTL1 is at almost 5.5k lbs), and driving any of the (Thorton) trucks feels much more weighted/heavier.
thanks!! and that's totally fair about the weight in handling, did you find the grip ok? (ie do the tires fly over? the v1.0 had that issue and it was a result of me tweaking too many things in handling). Right now it's mostly borrowing Claire's Beast in handling with a few engine tweaks but I'll try tweaking the mass and play with it a bit more :)
The grip (imo) is totally fine, if you keep in mind that it's an electric vehicle. I myself didn't find anything wrong with the handling (ie. steering, braking, acceleration, cornering---all felt good to me!). I haven't had a chance to take it offroading (yet), as I've only driven it around the city so far---will comment again when I take it out to the Badlands, hehe. :)

This is the grey one, if it still gives you white let me know

I have made this copy, hopefully we can collab with MrChedda to put it in the game

Wouldn't know. Am unfamiliar with the Regera then that it looks super cool and drives godlike.
Edit: So cute how our it talks to us when we enter/exit 😭😭
