I gifted myself the Phantom Liberty DLC for christmas and figured i'd get down to my usual vanilla modding for my fans! :D, this is also my first vanilla mesh edit mod. "Where?" you may ask,...the light bar on this came modeled with two cables protruding as they lead to a seperate electronic box up top (found on max-tac and ncpd merrimacs) so i had to delete the cables in blender.
Also, the special operations department declined to have the back window steel plated and back passenger windows meshed, as that is only available for enforcement vehicles and this is a civilian one. All the same, safe rides, and enjoy! :D
Is this the same one Reed drives? Always kinda wished his truck was playable, looked so much better than the one the player got access to. This looks pretty good regardless, though, so thanks for your work.
Love this! This has been my go-to vehicle for my Nomad playthrough with no fast travel, and this thing is a beauty! Only criticism, which is very minor, is that in FPP, the driver interface (e.g., the clock/radio) do not reflect real-time changes, as the clock is always at 20:00 hours, but the speedometer does work as intended. Beautiful mod and the closest I'm getting to a Chevrolet Tahoe/Suburban in this game until someone mods that in as well. :) Thank you for this mod!
Absolutely love this car! I've noticed the boot/trunk won't open though. Is that because of the rood rack? You can access the stash so just me being petty, I still love it!
Fun fact, only Reed's Merrimac in the game can have it's trunk opened out of all the others! :D Also, since V's original one doesn't have trunk opening abilities, it also locks my SUV mod variants out of that.
Ah fair enough! This game sure has some weird quirks. Oddly enough I found a parked NPC Merrimac and I can open their trunk lol. Anyway, awesome mod, thank you!
With the mod "GITS 3.0" this mod doesnt work anymore as written on description of "GITS"
"mod edits vehicle appearances and will override"
So is there a chance or an possibilty to make this mod standalone? (i dont even know the meaning of it but guessing its the right word) mods like bmw audi etc..
I don't know about other mods, but unfortunately for now i'm not doing standalones as they'd need other dependencies. I stick to the simplcicity of vanilla modding :)
Just to confirm, I cannot have BOTH the Meeeimac HUV and the Merrimac Custom "Warlock" - meaning I have to remove the HUC related files from the mod folder to get the "Warlock" to spawn as the Custom version
You could... but that would need the mod to be designed as stand-alone with this new vehicle accessible through other mods (CET or Virtual Car Dealer). Which it isn't because of author's choice to have no dependencies attached with the mod.

However, other mods that offer the Max Tac variant seem to have the light bar working - it lights up. Is that possible on this version?
