I found the difference in quality of drops jarring between Dogtown and Night City. For now, this is just a tweak that removes checks for the Dogtown location for certain item drops. Looking at the Redmod tweak files for loot, it seems there are a lot of interesting possibilities to explore. I will look into changing the probability of drops in a few days (I don't like how super fancy clothing has a tendency to drop very often).
2025-01-23 Update: TESTED WITH 2.21
2024-04-14 update - Added chances to drop clothing items back to dead NPCs - In addition from Faction clothes, some factions will also drop related clothing styles - Mox also drop Punk clothes - Aldecaldos and Wraiths also drop Biker clothes - Animals also drop Sportswear - Tyger Claws also drop Tiger Claws Biker clothes - 6th street also drop Cowbow clothes - Arasaka agents also drop Corpo clothes - Voodoo Boys also drop Stylish clothes - Maelstrom and Scavs also drop Industrial and Streetwear - Baghest also drop Militech clothes
It looks like it is a similar idea with slightly different tweaks. What do you see is missing when you say items? I am mostly adding clothes because that's what was removed with the 2.0 version of the game.
DO NOT USE, counter to the name, this mod seems to give me a bunch of duplicates. I killed everyone at a Maelstrom roadblock and got 4 versions of the same jacket. Rescue the medic and 5 versions of the same Maelstrom pants. Same loot over and over.
THEN, I uninstalled and it turned all of my gear to tier 1!
That sounds more like a conflict between this mod and something else on your list. The mod only edit loot lists. It should have no impact on the gear you already have and especially no impact on their quality. As for the repetition, vanilla Cyberpunk removed all clothing items from loot lists. This is an attempt at bringing them back. I have played with the mod continuously since I created it 2 years ago and I never had that issue with duplicate items in the same loot list.
Mostly clothes, armor, masks and head gear for now. I started the mod because I found shocking how most loot boxes in Night City only have use cups or other garbage when any loot box in Dogtown has fancy outfits and cool armor. The latest version also adds clothing items as loot on NPCs, based on their faction. The mod does not control the quality of items dropped... just the type of items.
A cmd prompt pops-out and shows the txt above when installing the mod.
In order to not go through cmd prompt I did the following: 1. Went to Vortex 2. I had this mod uninstalled 3. Right clicked this mod then click UNPACK (AS-IS). 4. Run the game.
Not sure if the mod works though, but I see components in the boxes. Does that mean the mod works?
I have not seen that cmd popup and I don't know why Diverse Loot would cause that. It is really just a simple set of tweaks to default values from the game. You can confirm if it it works in two ways: - if you can find a clothing items as look in most dead NPCs (gang members most importantly.. civilians often have no loot) - if you can find Dogtown items in the rest of Night City (like hacker helmets or across the chest utility belts)
No loot on civilians is normal without the mod.. what you want to check is if you find Tyger Claws clothing on Tyger claws gang members, or Arasaka clothing on Arasaka kills. If you found the Hacker helmet in Night City, it is probably working.
Edit: I added a screenshot in the gallery to show what I mean. Without the mod, the dead Thug would not have a helmet in its loot.
That's probably because I have the mod inside of a folder in the zip file. You could try to extract it locally, and zip the files inside the DiverseLoot folder. That new zipped file should work with Vortex.
The mod is still packed as <zip root>\Diverse Loot\mods\etc Vortex cannot deal with that. \mods\ should be at the root of the zip file for it to work with Vortex. Re-zipping and importing with the root folder allows Vortex to recognise it as a redmod and activate it.
There's a button when right-clicking the mod in vortex that says "Unpack (as-is)" I tried it and it installed normally. I haven't tested to see if its working properly just yet, just figured I'd mention it in case it works in line with the mentioned un-zipping and zipping it again.
You are welcome. That forced me to update my mod packing scripts to automatically create zip files the right way.. something I wanted to do for a long time.

I believe it covered both clothes and items. If not any chance you can tackle that as well?
It hasn't been updated for a while + doesn't work with the latest version of the game.
Thanks in advance!

Good day
I hope someone know what's wrong here because all I can see is the the lines below
Folder Documentation is not a valid mod: Missing info.json! Skipping...
default control path does not return a value: cyberpunk\UI\mappins\minimapMappins.script:618
Or is there no problem.
I am not seeing this kind of error on my side but I am probably not looking in the right place.

No loots after killing civs and I got the hacker helmet thing.
Thanks for the reply.
If you found the Hacker helmet in Night City, it is probably working.

There's a fix mod that removes it (still works for 2.12a) but it's technically not necessary. :)
You could try to extract it locally, and zip the files inside the DiverseLoot folder. That new zipped file should work with Vortex.
Working on a fix now.
Did you try to unzip the files and zip them again without the top folder for Vortex?
Vortex cannot deal with that. \mods\ should be at the root of the zip file for it to work with Vortex.
Re-zipping and importing with the root folder allows Vortex to recognise it as a redmod and activate it.
