Same here, i use vortex. All required Mods up to date. even tried to install this mod and mod_settings directly and not over vortex but it didnt changed anything. This mod is also not listed in mods in the menu... If i remember correctly, there where 2 mod folders in the menu some time ago: "mods" and "mod settings". I only have "mods" and for example the virtual atelier mod doesnt work for me... can someone help me with this?
I think it seems like mod_settings doesnt work for me but idk why. everything is up to date. I don`t even have the mod_settings folder in the r6 folder because newer version don`t come with that anymore...
I think you have old files remaining from older versions. You can try to remove r6/cache and restore game files. Then install each dependency manually not using vortex.
Brilliant mod! Just wondering if you'd maybe see if you can "fix" the NCPD Motorcycle. While it has lights, it was never given a siren when added to the game and it'd be great if a modder gave it a siren!
Awesome mod :) Any chance you might make something similar to car headligts and bring back the option to cycle between off/low-beam/high-beam like we were able before 1.5 patch? Currently the low-beam setting shows only on NPC-driven vehicles while player-driven cars are running high-beam the moment you sit in the car...
I second this! If its not too much to ask, would it be possible to add an option to have lights automatically turn on when you enter a car? In 2.0 onwards it only turns on sometimes as opposed to always.

By the way, if you ever want to tackle another past feature, this time one that 2.0 removed, there used to be homing and sticky grenades ingame in patch 1.6.3.... I know those aren't exactly effects but it is more of a gameplay feature, but you seem to have a knack at restoring what was lost.
This is with the mod that I made to try to keep the lights on. On a cop car the 'utility' light is the police lights, on a bike it's the neon rims. I'm trying to keep everything on. Even the engine running.
After 10 seconds, the vehicle just shuts down no matter what. I can't seem to override this behavior. The flickering of the dash is me trying to turn it back on again over and over but it keeps turning off over and over.
I figured out my issue. I can keep the lights on, but I'm trying to turn the vehicle/engine itself on, and that's what's turning off, and when it turns off it takes the lights with it.
If I only turn the lights on but leave the vehicle itself off, then the lights stay on.
Yes, I've been trying to make a mod that leaves the engine running and the car turned on. The lights would be included in that but the primary focus is to keep the engine running. I can't figure out how to do that since the game keeps turning vehicles off after 10 seconds of non-use. I can turn the lights on even when the car is off, but I can't turn the car itself on; something keeps forcing it off.

Horn should be E key and Square/X on PS gamepad.

Something seems to shut the car off after 10 seconds or so no matter what.
How did you get around that? I'll look at your code when I get the chance
