About this mod

This resource contains .morphtarget files that mod authors may use to create their own eye overlay mods. This resource is not a usable mod by itself, it simply contains loose files that others might find useful.

This resource contains .morphtarget files that you
can use to create your very own eye overlay mods.

For Mod Users
If you are simply using mods made by others and you are not looking to make your own mods, you do not need this resource.

For Mod Creators

This resource contains loose .morphtarget files that can be used to create eye overlay mods. The files:

  • Come in versions for either the right, left, or both eyes.
  • Are available fit for both FV and MV.
  • Can be used in mods that are loaded by a framework like Morphtarget and AnimRig Additions or added via ArchiveXL.
  • Will automatically match V's eye shape when loaded using an appropriate component.
  • Will work seamlessly with vanilla eyes, Unique Eyes framework eyes, Heterochromia, and more, as they do not edit the eye .morphtarget or .mesh itself.

This page does not include detailed instructions for how to create a mod using these resources, in part because there are several different ways that they may be utilized and in part because these are simply resources, not a tutorial.

If you have questions about how these resources might be used or would like help incorporating them into a mod, please feel free to leave a comment and I will help or redirect you to other information as I am able.

Tips for Use

Inside of .morphtarget files, there is a reference to a .mesh file that will be used for appearances, materials, and other information. When setting up and editing a custom .mesh file that will be linked to these .morphtarget files, there are some things you can do to ensure a smooth mod creation process:

  • The rig of the .mesh file does seem to matter; for FV's .morphtarget files, be sure to start with a copy of FV's eye .mesh, and for MV's .morphtarget files, be sure to start with a copy of MV's eye .mesh.
  • When assigning materials to the submeshes in the .mesh, the first submesh (index 0) is the one that corresponds with the overlay.
  • If you wish to create an overlay with non-opaque portions, set the enableMask property in the .mesh's material instance to True.

Terms of Use
These .morphtarget files are a resource that is meant to be incorporated into your mod; in order to use them, you must include them in your mod's files, and you are welcome to do so - that's why they're here.

If you use these .morphtarget files in your mod, you must provide a link back to this mod page.
This will allow others to easily find the resource if they wish to make their own mods using it.

Thank you to the team behind WolvenKit - these files could not have been created or shared here without its extremely useful morphtarget-handling capabilities.

Thank you also to my friends in The Cyberpunks for encouraging me to make these the best they could be and asking plenty of questions which ensured thorough testing. And thank you to JSILVERHVND for watching me make some very silly mistakes and then supporting me while I fixed them. :p
