Do note on every mod there wont be any fancy icons and such, because honestly that isnt what my focus is... Sorry! Longshot, but I've had this issue with a few items of clothing (not this one) and equipping it in wardrobe of equip ex fixed it for me.
Edit: Guess I hadn't tested yet. Turns out I have this issue as well! But only when I add this in the reg inventory window. If I put the face pins on in the wardrobe of equip ex, then it shows up in photo mode. I am running game version 2.02 and not 2.1. So I may not be a good test subject. Weird tho.

The mesh will slightly disform depending on your facial sliders
Optional file is a completely different mod, just thought id throw it in there
