I suspect it's related to the VRam of my video card (RTX 2080), but I'm not 100% certain. Just putting this here so that you know if you run into a similar issue.
Woohoo, still working as advertised, with the recent/new game Patch 2.21 update! \o/ ♥ (Steam ; Manual installs)
Reminder: If you haven't already done so, make sure you update all your "core-mods" (i.e. ArchiveXL, Codeware, Cyber Engine Tweaks, etc etc), as well as checking if any of your other mods need updating for the recent/new game Patch 2.21 update. Also, always turn ON your mod TRACKING when you use a mod (next to the Endorse button). Then you are notified of mod updates immediately when you log into the Nexus!
So this doesn't disable all auto-saves, just the ones linked to these specific events. Any chance you could ever add an option to just turn off auto-save entirely (the older mod hasn't been updated since before PL)? I have no problem remembering to save manually when I'm ready but the auto-save slot bloat is a mess. It wouldn't even be so bad if they had a setting in the menu to let you limit the number of auto-save slots you want (down to 1 for example) like BG3.
Just figured it couldn't hurt to ask since that's really the feature I was hoping for when I downloaded this mod.
I personally prefer having auto-save every 20 mins to avoid running into crashes (game is modded after all). You can also tune it to a longer duration like what I've noted in the description.
For players who simply wish to completely disable autosave, that other mod may suit better.
I want a mod that if you die, your save/character gets completely deleted... like a hardcore mode, that would change completely the build/gameplay/gadgets and make me sweat on boss fights lmao
and I suggest people pull their dingaling out before taking a piss. But kinda irrelevant. I also love the idea of ironman mode (death is actually death). The reason many of us are here is simply to make the game more punishing. Currently when you die, it doesn't matter because you respawn right before you died, which results in no fear during combat, which results in much less intense gameplay. Battle Royal games got so popular just because of this too.
wut do people actually wanna play ironman mode on this long ass game????
well I may try making one later when I'm free, but I won't delete all saves as a matter of principle. Perhaps just remove the latest X hours of gameplay of the same lifepath. Still needa see if it's feasible with the scripting stuff.
l've played a lot of Stalker Anomaly/Gamma in ironman, and I defo feel it would be very well suited for Cyberpunk, tho' with various options, (the same as Anomaly) like, start with 1 life, and every 24hrs gain another life. The tension and difference ironman creates in approaching the gameplay is pretty huge tbh. As @ltjester2002 mentioned... currently if you die it doesn't matter whatsoever, you just respawn, whereas with ironman it's Ivan Drago
Hokay, I'm pretty sure this mod is still working as advertised, with the recent/new game Patch 2.13 update! \o/ ♥

Fast Travel: ("Not So Good Draw Distance Mod"NOT installed) I FTed to and from ALL of V's buyable apartments - no auto-saves were generated. I FTed to and from all the reward-apartments from the romanceable questlines (Judy's, River's, Panam's, Kerry's*) - no auto-saves were generated. * = I'm embarrassed to admit that I still haven't completed Kerry's final questline, as of yet, lol. xD
Fast Travel: ("Not So Good Draw Distance Mod"INSTALLED) Did the same tests as "NOT installed", results were the same - no auto-saves were generated. AND... did not experience any crashes/CTDs.
Closing Vendor panel: Visited all the vendors in V's Megabuilding, as well as about a dozen others throughout the different districts - no auto-saves were generated.
Closing Ripperdoc panels: Visited all the Ripperdocs throughout the entire city - no auto-saves were generated.
Closing Player Stash panel: Tried every Stash in all of V's apartments (buyables/rewards) - no auto-saves were generated.
Picking up Iconic/Tier 5 item: Luckily I had a couple old saves just before I received iconics (Skippy and Kongou) - no auto-saves were generated. Tested vendor-bought Tier 5 weapons (melee + firearms), dropped on the ground, then picked them up, lol - no auto-saves were generated.
Getting reward From Drop Point: Inconclusive/unable to test, as I have already completed all missions involving Drop Point rewards, with my current playthrough. :(
Disarm & Arm event: I am assuming that this is when the enemy drops their weapon? And/or when you pick up, or swap a weapon from the ground (dropped by enemy or otherwise?). Inconclusive/unable to test, I have not been able to get this to pop; maybe my V is too strong now, she kills too quickly, lol. :\
Again, THANK YOU for this hella preem mod, jack/paktojack!! Still appreciatin' ya, choombatta!! ♥ :)
PSA Reminder: (If y'all haven't done so already) Make sure you update all your core-mods (aka Requirement mods; ArchiveXL, Codeware, CET, etc etc), as those are typically the ones that always/usually (some/most of them) need updating whenever a new game Patch update drops! :)
Disarm & Arm event probably happens during mission. Missions like Automatic Love may trigger that code, though tbf I haven't really checked whether it was generating an autosave.
I just finished testing this mod on Patch 2.2 (Steam), and it's still working as advertised, woohoo! \o/ ♥
Did the same testing as I did with Patch 2.13 (detailed above in my original post), and got the same results, max nova! :)
Again, THANK YOU paktojack for this hella preem mod, and saving my sanity from having to keep deleting a gajillion auto-saves each gaming sesh, lol! *shakes fist at vanilla auto-save feature* Still appreciatin' ya, choombatta! ♥ :)
Thanks, LisbethSAO! I've seen you confirm patch 2.2 functionality in the comment threads of MANY, MANY of the mods I've been installing this past week or so (currently sitting at 514 and counting! haven't played since before 1.6 and things are... different), and I hope you know that I, at least, greatly appreciate it, choombatta! :) And thanks paktojack for making the mod! *also shakes fist at vanilla auto-save feature*
Was this updated or in need of an update for 2.13? Want to make for sure before I download and Bork my so far perfectly functioning modlist. Thank you!
As long as you don’t completely disable the autosave system with Autosave Disabler (the other mod that I mentioned), then I don’t expect any quest will be messed up.
I just did a complete/fresh reinstall (Steam) of my game (nuked all associated old folders+files; fresh re-downloads of all the mods I use; manual installs; no REDmod mods used).
Can confirm this mod is still working hella preem with 2.12a. ♥

EDIT: I didn't realize before posting that the mod No More Autosaves - Phantom Liberty Compatible has this feature already so I'll grab that for now. Thanks!

I haven't yet updated to 2.2, but will double check the code when I do to avoid subtle issues.

Just a quick update to make sure the mod ain't unaffecting the base game.
Though, I suspect it's for certain scripted events like when you enter the Cloud you need to leave all the weapons in the locker.
