As of v1.0.5 the problem should be fixed Hey all, I uploaded a new version, 1.0.1, that I think should fix the model issue people are having.
It looks like when I zipped the files for the original upload, 7zip also nabbed the top level directory I had them stored in. I think what was happening was that if you followed the instructions on the files page to the letter, it would then not place the archive files in the correct spot which would then cause the yaml file to not replace the base knife components since it couldn't find them.
I also found that the update I made prior to release changing the vendor selling the item didn't save so I fixed that. Wilson should sell it now.
Please let me know if you are still having problems with the mod. If you are, a screenshot or video would be helpful as well as running the Archive Conflict Checker Tool and letting me know if any mods you have conflict with this one. It will help me narrow down the problem.
Since the default, reverse grip model looks weird with melee finishers, I uploaded a version that the player character holds the normal way around. Go give BuffMcMuff's mods a look, he lent a hand since I was being lazy about flipping the mesh.
love your mod thanks! I like the way your character looks holding the knife without the flipped mod, would it be possible to have the throw animation with the dagger flipped?
Possible yes, but at this time there is no way to edit animations very well beyond importing them into blender and manually changing every bone, in every frame, by hand. So it's way more effort than is worth it.
The files are in the correct folders already. Can it be enabled for vortex downloading please. Judging by photomode the model goes through the fingers, It's a bit oversized maybe. A fun to have mod, thank u.
Yeah, the model size is on my "I'll get to it Soon™" list. I didn't expect the model to be that much larger when I decided on doing a 1:1 model swap lol. Re: Vortex, I don't use it myself so I don't have much personal desire to do so since I can't really test it properly. If you or someone else decide to set up a vortex version I would be more than happy to upload it with proper crediting.
it would be pretty sick if you could make a holster for this knife, have it stick it stick off your back or etc. I found an adam smasher accessory mod with this holstered but sadly only for female V
Oh sick I didn't even notice. Don't wanna be that guy but I was wondering if you could have a uni-sex or male V holster version, whether it be around the thigh or even attached on V's back.
Issue has been resolved, when I would use the flipped version's r6 file material it would crash, all I had to do was only replace the archived files of the original spec ops folder with the flipped folder.
Probably. I didn't even intend for it to be reverse grip, it just worked out that way doing a 1:1 mesh swap, no edits. I thought it looked cool so I left it as is. I can look into it might be a more long term fix as I think it would require doing some animation edits to get it to flip the model around.
I can work on uploading an alt version without the reverse grip in the meantime
I'd really appriciate an alt version without the reverse grip because the animations looks really goofy rn, cool mod tho, the knife by itself looks great!
Didn't notice how large the knife was until it was flipped as you don't notice it with the reverse grip version since the blade is pointing away. Any chance it can be scaled down? Looks like you're holding a broadsword in one hand when flipped.
Possible yes, but I don't intend to. If you want to upgrade it you can either use CET to do so or the Upgrade Weapons Unlocked mod. https://www.nexusmods.com/cyberpunk2077/mods/9889
When the knife is thrown, the knife model is not the Arasaka one but the regular knife. Also, for some reason for the regular grip, when I equip it my game crashes but with the reverse grip my game runs fine.

You really should have. That's a god tier mod/weapon name.

Btw, I love your rebalance mods
