I install it manually and it works in 2.12 perfectly. However I do feel 1:1 time is a bit extreme for a game like this. 6 hours a day would be perfect.
Awesome mod, would love to use this with some weather overhauls if they could be made compatible. Specifically the blade runner/always rain or fog tweaks
Very cool, haven't tried it yet but these kinds of mods are some of my favorite.
Not sure how difficult it would be (but it looks like it might be pretty intense by reading some of the other comments) but if you could somehow sync the in-game clock with the users clock, it would be absolutely amazing.
I've only ever seen a few mods for various games do this over the years (some even going so far as to sync weather effects) and I really wish developers would make it easier for people to do things like that.
I can do it on the side if I have time, I have to change every single weather file, and there are 15-16 of them. I have to change the curves in each file, for sun, sky, lighting, sun color, sky color, moon color. Then after each small change I have to go into the game to look, then back again to change 1-2 settings, then back into the game, and so on and so forth. It's a huge effort. :D
as far as I remember, dawn and dusk are hardcoded and can not be changed by any value. If it is as you say, then it is a gigantic undertaking, many tried to alter the dusk/dawn times and all gave up.
You can change everything, but it's a huge effort. I've already tried a few things, and one of them is that I changed the sky color, I made the day sky into the night sky. If you make the day brighter, for example, you have to include the exposure, otherwise the whole picture starts to glow brightly and you can't see anything. Everything works, but it's a huge effort without a proper level editor.
yeah strange decision by devs, dawn at 3am makes little sense especially for the socal setting, so you get like 6hrs of dark 9-3 very strange. In game map on nomad character at the inside of border wall office has it somewhere above santa barbara I think, of course it's a compacted map as desert like that isn't till barstow lol Prob hard coded like others said.
Nothing is hardcoded, you can change everything, but it is a huge effort. One can only hope that CDPR will release a real level editor with the last patch for CP2077. For example, if you change the day and night system, you also have to re-export the global illumination data, and you can't do that without a proper level editor.
I think the hatching of the iguana is not bound to time, I think it is regulated in the game via a script. It will hatch at some point. I'm still going to make 2 more versions of the mod, but only tomorrow, otherwise I won't get to play at all, I have a "SongBird" to save. ^^
Struggled with the "ingame timepassing" myself (just like so many quests that lets you wait for 23h just because V came 1min too late). But 1:1... there are action that are better suited for the day.
With a "realistic timescale" I will actualy never see the light of day, unless I skip time. I prefer to do various tasks, like talking to NPCs, shopping, various gigs, during day, at night I go for stealth gigs and NCPD hussles, at 2am to bed. Works pretty good with a 1:3 timescale.
Also do not forget, certain quests need certain time outcomes. Like the black sapphire during the DLC stops timeprogression alltogether, while other are finished in 10min real time but are supposed to last some hours ingame, an 1:1 timescale screws with that.
I can make another version with double the time, and one with triple the time. Single = 1 minute is 1 minute Double = 1 minute is 2 minutes Triple = 1 minute is 3 minutes. ^^
:) When others need it, it. was just my thought process on it. I have a "mod" with 1 ingame min = 3 real min. Though I think, it is always good when people have options.
Yeah night is better esp when raining for that blade runner 1 feel. I've used game time tweaks for 2x nights and default days, never bothered w real time though but it might be nice to try it, wait til whenever I want to start and play most that day.
At night is the most fun, everything lights up, you sneak through the buildings, send the drone, mark the people and then skillfully clear them out of the way. ^^ :) :D
Lol I've seen that gif a few places never gets old it's so weird. Yeah I love the atmosphere, lighting at night especially north side and japantown neon is awesome even not using RT. No music but still has an eerie atmosphere ambient to it. For mostly rain I use the Weather Prob Rebalance-No vignette version from https://www.nexusmods.com/cyberpunk2077/mods/10028?tab=description

But that iguana hatching gonna take forever!!
More options might be nice

Night City during the day after a party.
