There should be more mods like this to hire people, like mercs, to join you in quests or just to roam about the city, like in Fallout 4. Kind of lonely running around by yourself sometimes and would be nice to have backup.
This mod worked for me on 2.1. I had to install everything manually and, be sure to properly set up the bindings by going to the Mods tab in the main menu, there will be a couple new menus related to Cyberscript Core and this mod.
Important! When you pick the Netrunner you want to hire from the webpage, and then go into your phone, sometimes the "Netrunner contact" will appear in messages not in your contact list, or if you see it in your contact list, attempting to call/message them, moves them into your messages list, and then from there to actually call them, you have to press the message button. Also! When you've connected with the Netrunner and bring up the various hacks they can preform, you MUST select one, using the Cyberscript function (default F1) to end services before you've made a selection will keep you frozen in place, soft locking you.
All things considered this is a very cool mod that is testament to the power of Cyberscript Core, that just needs you to use a little bit of diligence when installing and how you setup/use it in game. There are some very powerful hacks that are a great way to burn excess Eddies. I've enjoyed it so far. Thank you for this mod donk74! And good luck chooms!
Great mod. There is not enough chaos on the road or clearing the road like in watch dogs. Unfortunately, if you do not disable this mod in the Cyberscript settings, then after a while the interface disappears and time dilation disappears when targeted by a hacker script through the visor..
Go to your PC, in NET tabs - Select Cyberscript Network - Select Netrunners for Hire - Choose a netrunner
Then later , before starting a mission,
- Open Phone - Select Netrunners for hire and call it -Your netunner is ready -Go to Pause Menu -Mods - Cyberscript Custom Setting - Configure the keybinding for use your netrunners Hit the configured key
You will get a special intetract that let you choose a action with your netrunner (that cost money)
Time is paused during your choice then resume after selection.
Great work @Donk74. It is working very good except that the Netrunner contact disapears from phone contact list after closing connection with him. I tried all steps in your cyberscript troubleshooting guide also did mod reset but it never comes again. Even if I tried to rehire the Netrunber from the computer appartment Net application. The only solution I found is to delete Netrunner.json file from cyberscript cash folder. I also made clean re-install for the game and all mods statting with cyberscript mod and databacks only. Please consider this bug in your update.
