2k version will be released soon, be patient! Give the 8k a try as it shouldn't impact performance while giving you the best result. 4k version update fixed compatibility with my other mod.
Is this the same as your NPC ReTexture Project? Like there is a part Main NPC Re-Texture Project (Phantom Liberty) but now you also have this one. Do I need to install both for the best of two worlds?
That's awesome! Thank you so much, this is truly good work. I'm trying the 8K and see how my perfomance is. Have a 3080TI maybe I can run it, otherwise I just wait for the 4K :)
So in the archive conflict app i see t hat the 8 k version gets overwrited by the normal 4k version from your other mod the PL version but it should be the other wasy around ? cant cvahnge it its at the top of the load order but get overwritten why ?
Well, I'll confirm that the issue isn't fixed, unfortunately. Just got to PL recently and this issue shows up when Songbird
Spoiler:
Show
blows up the mainframe and the Dogtown stadium during the mission Firestarter.
So, that moment in the mission must switch Songbird to using some different kind of textures that you haven't touched/missed during the upscaling process, maybe? It's the sick/pale look she gets.
Sometimes I wonder how much Texture Modders will go nuts the moment they find out their ESRGAN Upscales look cheap and mediocre compared to what they could accomplish by upscaling Textures with Stable Diffusion.
Would do it myself, but I don't know how to convert textures to their real colors format, which would be required for that. Maybe you're interested in a collaboration.
Description says: "Upscales and Enhances the textures to 4k for Songbird, Myers, Hansen, and Reed. (Better for Graphics Cards with > 8gb of VRAM)." Meaning the 4K Version is better for GPUs greater than 8GB VRAM? Or is this a typo. I would have thought the 8K Version would need more VRAM. Anyway great work! Tank you :)
