Hey there! I will be happy to help you troubleshoot, but I require certain information to do so.
If you are leaving a comment looking for help with this mod, please list the names (not descriptions, but actual file names) of the files from Heterochromia 4.0 that you have installed.
Other helpful information that you may wish to include:
Whether you are trying to use the mod for FV, MV, or both
Links to eye color/texture/style mods you are using
Whether you have Unique Eyes - Core installed, and if so, which version
Whether you use any mods that edit V's face shapes/morphs or eye morphtargets
What is the problem you're seeing - "not working" can come in many flavors, and a good description of what you're seeing in-game vs. what you would like to be seeing can help a lot
I will not be updating this mod to provide support for EKT Asian Character Creator. Please do not ask.
This also applies to other, similar character creator overhaul mods which edit the eye morphtarget files. The authors of such mods may, of course, create heterochromia mods which function with their overhauls, but such support will not be included in the scope of Heterchromia 4.0 (this mod).
Ello can i get a little help with, please? Would love to have this amazing idea for a mod running, so issue is: I keep seeing this brown eye in the back
Have downloaded both files (base and LC for Fem V), unique eyes core 3.0 (that´s the one that works with 2.21) and https://www.nexusmods.com/cyberpunk2077/mods/14033 wich requires Unique eyes
As far as i saw, solution is (i use vortex) opened file manager from vortex to base files and deleted all base files expect one (i selected base file 2, then 7, then 10, so tried 3 diferent times) then deleted all the color files exept the one i want to use (red heart in this case), then deployed again the mods and run the game, but it keep showing the same brown eye
Aditional i have downloaded unique eyes 2.5 (disabled) Wich if it´s enabled the neon eyes wont show there´s just a blue eye texture no matter wich color i choose And Unique eyes place holder (disabled too) it does not make any changes if it´s disabled or enabled so....
And the morph mod recomended is installed: https://www.nexusmods.com/cyberpunk2077/mods/4673
meanwhile ill cycle trough all main files slots to see if it works
As that mod's page suggests that it uses the Unique Eyes - Core system as a base, absolutely, it should work with this mod. If you are unable to determine the combination of files needed, you can let me know the exact results you're looking for (both eyes from that pack but different? left eye from that pack but right eye vanilla? etc.) and I can do my best to help.
I'm trying to get both eyes to be different eyes from this pack, i've gotten the pack installed and working. Also want to mention that I'm using EKT Asian Character Creator with the appropriate patch file for this mod. I've got the required morphtarget mod installed and the files i have installed from this mod are NLD_Heterochromia 4.0_FV_Base_Slot1.archive and NLD_Heterochromia 4.0_FV_LC_UEDef_16.archive.
For the Unique Eyes i have 00_Halvkyrie_UniqueEyes_Core_Default_V3.0.archive.
With this if this is Correct i still cannot get a eye color to appear, V just currently has no eye in her left eye socket.
If there is no eye in the left eye socket - like if it's concave and you are just seeing the low-quality brown eye texture that is painted on the back/inside of the eye socket - then it sounds to me like you may be having a Morphtarget and AnimRig Additions slot conflict.
Do you have multiple mods installed which require/rely on Morphtarget and AnimRig Additions? If so, check that each one is using a different slot number. For example, if you have a More Cyberware mod or some such that is using slot 01, and you also try to use the slot 01 file from Heterochromia 4.0, then you will have issues.
Hey; awesome mod! However, I'm having a slight problem when trying to use https://www.nexusmods.com/cyberpunk2077/mods/15176 alongside it. While the custom eye is appearing, it appears to be set too far back in my character's skull, causing it to appear flat. I am using the Unique Eyes - Core patch for 2.2, and I believe the only mods I have editing head shape are the facial customization rig fix and the morph texture remover patch.
Are you entirely certain both eyes are appearing? A common issue with conflicts can result in the left eye (V's left eye, so on the right side if you are looking at V) failing to load. When this happens, you instead see the very flat and low-quality brown eye texture that is painted onto V's face textures in the back of the eye socket. Can you check to see if this is what is happening?
Ah, if that's the case then yes I believe that there's a conflict causing it; I had coincidentally been trying to use a brown eye, so I just figured it was loading in. I should be able to figure it out from here with the conflict checker tool, thanks!
In case it helps - in these situations, the issue is often having multiple mods that rely on Morphtarget & AnimRig Additions which are using the same slot number. If this is the case for you, it can be fixed by using a different Base_Slot_## file (for example, NLD_Heterochromia 4.0_FV_Base_Slot07.archive instead of NLD_Heterochromia 4.0_FV_Base_Slot01.archive, or similar).
I did end up getting it working! I'm pretty surprised about it, too; conflict checker didn't reveal anything, so I uninstalled all related mods and then started adding them back one at a time. I ended up in a configuration with everything except unique eyes core v3 installed, and somehow that worked instead of giving me the pitch black eye :o
Ah, yes, if the issue you were having is a fully pitch black eye, then that can be caused by having the Unique Eyes - Core mod installed without also having an eye texture/recolor mod installed which makes use of the Unique Eyes framework - and, as you found, uninstalling Unique Eyes - Core is one way to resolve that issue. Glad to hear it's working for you!
I have to say, this mod is really fantastic, and even though I'm not good at English and spent a lot of time figuring out how to make it work, I finally got the perfect result - now my V has beautiful heterochromic eyes! It's incredible, thank you for contributing to this (love comes from China❥)
Hi Nora! I'm trying to install your mod and I'm running into some issues. I'm not sure if it's me or something else. I can get my female V's left blue eye to show up fine, but V's right eye remains black even if I scroll through different eye options. If I really squint at it it looks like there's still an iris under the black. Selecting any option from the base game Arasaka logo eyes to the end of the selection turns both eyes pure white.
I've downloaded the following into my Cyberpunk 2077\archive\pc\mod folder (versions provided for ref): NLD_Heterochromia 4.0_FV_Base_Slot01 (v1.0) NLD_Heterochromia 4.0_FV_LC_LightBlue (v1.0) zz_NLD_Morph_and_AnimRig_Additions (v1.2) Unique Eyes - Core (v2.5)
For the Base Slot I've attempted with each Base Slot individually and encounter the same error despite the Slot number. I've made sure that Vortex hasn't transformed Morph&AnimRig into a redmod. I do have the BiteSized mod with the patch for it and that works fine - so I don't believe it's Morph related?
At the end of the day I would like to have V's left eye be light blue and the right be the base game option 19 or 29 (using your chart in the images tab). Let me know if you need any other information. Thanks!
EDIT: I uninstalled Unique Eyes - Core and it's showing up fine now. Thanks for all your hard work making the mod. I'm pumped to use it.
To clarify for the future, if you are trying to use Unique Eyes - Core without a corresponding Unique Eyes-dependent eye retexture/recolor mod, it will just turn V's eyes black. In this case, because of how I have the files set up, Heterochromia 4.0 worked around that for the left eye, but I'm fairly certain that's why you were seeing the effect that you were on V's right eye. Unique Eyes - Core is very useful, but should only be installed when you are also using an eye retexture/recolor mod that requires it.
Due to some computer troubles, I do not currently have Cyberpunk 2077 installed on my computer, nor do I have drive space, at present, to re-install it. For this reason, I am unable to check my mods for issues with the new patch at the moment, and I am unable to fix them. Depending on life circumstances, I may be able to look into fixing things in the new year.
I may be better equipped to repair these issues in the future if you could let me know exactly what is wrong, and what you are looking for me to update.
Oh yeah, I’m not sure if the mod needs an update, but it’s causing the game to crash on the loading screen. I tried searching for information on how to fix it, but I still don’t know what’s causing the problem. I’ve also made sure to use the required files
If you remove just this mod, does the game stop crashing?
Also, you mentioned that you're using the required files, but Nexus seems to show that you've only downloaded some of the required files. I know sometimes Nexus displays this information incorrectly, but it is still best to check - can you list the specific files from this mod (actual file names, not descriptions, please) that you have installed?
I’m using Morphtarget and AnimRig Additions as the required files, as they’re essential for this mod. Removing Heterochromia does stop the crashes, but the mod consistently causes the game to crash on the loading screen right before gameplay starts. I’m not sure if other mods are contributing to the issue, but this only started happening after the Cyberpunk update
You need to have several files from this particular mod (Heterochromia 4.0) installed for this mod to function. If you skipped installing parts of this mod, or accidentally deleted some of this mod's files while you were cleaning out other mods post-update, it is possible for that to cause crashing.
Again, if you list the specific files from this mod that you have installed - the full actual file names, not descriptions - we can confirm that this is not the issue.
I haven't installed this yet after having to start fresh after the update breaking things, but they added nearly twice as many options for eye colors, which seems like it would impact this mod, as well as the unique eyes framework. So this will likely need to be updated before it starts working again, alongside a few other CC mods, with all the new customization options we have.
@cyberangel707 the game has been crashing since the update, whether I use this mod. It works fine when I remove it, so I’m not assuming this mod is the problem. I just need help figuring out what's causing it since I want to use the mod for photo mode
As stated in the very large sticky post at the top of the comments, and as I have said multiple times in this particular thread - to effectively help you, I need you to list the names of the files from Heterochromia 4.0 that you have installed - not descriptions of the files, but the actual .archive file names. Once this has been done, I may be able to comment on whether it is an actual issue with this mod that is crashing your game or if there is some other problem. It seems that at least one user is not having this crashing problem post-patch, so for those of you that are, it is necessary for you to provide this information.
Sorry, I wasn’t ignoring your thread. I wasn’t home this week, so I wasn’t able to look into the files. But here goes, I’m not sure what specific files you need, but I’ll list them all
I cannot be sure if this is the root of your issues, but it is possible that part of the problem is that you seem to have installed the mod without paying mind to the installation instructions, or otherwise misunderstood them. Because of this, you have dozens of files installed that are attempting to replace each other - I wouldn't necessarily expect this to cause a reliable crash, but I can't say I'd be surprised if it was causing an issue.
As the instructions on the mod page say:
From Heterochromia 4.0, you will need two files*: *Or four files, if you wish to install the mod for both FV and MV.
That's one Base file and one LC file for FV, and another one Base file and one LC file for MV, if you wish to have the mod installed and working for both FV and MV at once - a max of four files to have it installed for both FV and MV. The way you have it listed, it seems like you may have installed all of the files available for FV at once, and more than a hundred of those files are trying to override one another. Again, I can't promise that that's the issue, but it's something that needs to be ruled out before other troubleshooting can take place.
Please read over the instructions for selecting and installing this mod's files, and see if fixing the files that you have installed fixes the issue. If not, please feel free to respond here, once again listing the (much shorter) list of files that you are using, and I can try to troubleshoot further when I am able.
hello, this is probs an odd request but in an earlier iteration of the mod, iirc 2.0? i managed to f*#@ up the install so badly that V was missing one of their eyes. even tho it was unintended, it looked very badass and i was wondering if there is a way to do something like that with this mod again or if it's something that's been fixed?

I will be happy to help you troubleshoot, but I require certain information to do so.

I have the morphtarget and animrig mod and these textures https://www.nexusmods.com/cyberpunk2077/mods/15176
When I try to add your mod the game crashes. It's probably not the mods fault, just trying to figure out what the mismatch could be.
NVM! I was being an idiot and forgetting I need to add folder structure as well. Sorry! been a long time since I modded cyberpunk last :/
