Making this resource has been a labor of love, but even at its most frustrating or monotonous points, it was made worth it because of the joy and excitement I got to witness from people as they contributed to the project.
Out of respect for the spirit of this project and that communal joy, I ask that you refrain from commenting and saying that you think any color on The Community Palette Project is useless, ugly, or otherwise undesirable.
Someone liked each color enough to attach a name to it - please respect that enough to be kind. I will block those that can't follow this request.
Of course, please let me know if something seems to be appearing incorrectly or is otherwise broken. While the resource has been tested to an extent, there are simply too many materials available for me to have reasonably and thoroughly tested each one. If you find a problem, I would like to try my best to fix the issue, but I will only be able to do so if it is brought to my attention.
Apologies, not sure how I missed this comment chain previously. If either of you (or anyone else having this issue) could link the mod that you're using which relies on this one, and which is showing up pink-purple instead of its intended shade, I would very much appreciate it.
Hey, I have your mod downloaded as a requirement for two other mods I have, but for some reason, the black is showing up as bright purplish pink? The mods I'm using are Customizable Mantis Blades and Classic Leather and Denim Jackets. I play on 2.1, so mostly just asking if there's something I should be doing to troubleshoot, or if it's because I'm playing on an earlier version of the game xP edit: looks something like this
That's the sort of appearance I'd expect to see if this mod wasn't being being loaded, wasn't installed properly, or was being overridden by an older version of this mod. As far as I'm aware, this mod should work just fine on 2.1.
Are you certain you installed the file in the correct location? If you installed it using a mod manager, it may be worth installing it manually and seeing if that fixes the issue.
As far as I am aware, yes, this should be working fine on the most recent patch. However, I cannot personally test it to confirm - long story short, I will not be able to work with the game or its files until some time in the new year.
Please feel free to test and let me know if there are any issues - even if, for some reason, this mod does not work on the latest patch, it should be perfectly safe to install and then remove.
I really love this palette, the colors are stunning!! I was wondering if you'd be willing to add: materials\fabric\nylon\nylon_metallic_01_30.mltemplate
I had to close and open Wolvenkit and now it works XD! Now I am getting an error with this one: materials\metal\iron\iron_rough_01_300.mltemplate not sure if that was in compatible or not D:
Found the compatible list... I didn't see it when I viewed the colors on your website. This one is also giving me an error: materials\metal\steel_brushed\steel_brushed_01_30.mltemplate and I see it in the compatible list. So damn weird lol
I'm sorry, I'm still not quite sure - is this something you're seeing in-game, or in some kind of editor?
Like are you coloring a garment yellow, but when you look at it in the actual game it's showing up red?
Or are you editing the MLSetup in WKit or MLSetupBuilder and what you're talking about is some sort of preview or error message you are seeing in that editor?
If this is an error WKit is throwing, do not worry about it. WKit is not aware that you have this mod installed, so when you reference its files, WKit will tell you that the resources you're referencing do not exist. It's safe to ignore.
Where its says: tcpp_edit\materials\fabric\nylon\nylon_metallic_01_30.mltemplate if I understand correctly, it will show that area red if it's incompatible
Ah I didn't know I could ignore it! Thank you for helping out so much! To be 100% safe, doing it this way, the people using my mods will be required to download this palette right?
Hey, I installed this mod and it works. But when you start the game, it often crashes, as well as when you die, 100% of the game crashes (the mod was installed manually exactly according to the instructions)
Sounds about right - I just wanted to be fully sure that it was definitely working, because I don't think I've really come across instances where the mod was both truly correctly installed (working) and also causing crashes.
It's in my mod folder essentially all the time and doesn't seem to cause any issues, which leads me to wonder if it could be a mod conflict - but if so, I have no clue with what, as the files in this mod don't replace any vanilla files.
A few more questions, apologies:
When you say you're seeing crashes when you start the game, do you mean like on the way to the main menu, or after you have selected a save to load?
If the crashes are after you have selected a save to load - were you wearing a modded garment that makes use of this resource at the time that that save was made?
When your character dies and the game crashes, does that change if they are not wearing any modded garments that make use of this resource?
1. The game crashes sometimes at the time of loading the save 2. Yes 3. idk, the mod fixed itself I came to check your 3rd question and the mod was suddenly fixed, maybe for a while XD
I'll take it XD A win's a win lol. Let me know if it starts causing trouble again and we can keep troubleshooting. Thanks for answering what you could!
No need to comment twice, please, there are just some days where I don't have a bunch of time to troubleshoot.
The situation fixed itself before - did this seem to correspond to any changes in what garments your character was wearing, such as whether they were wearing a modded garment which made use of this mod at the time of death/save?
Sorry I still wore modified clothes and did not remove the mod perhaps due to the fact that the beginning of the game was without this mod, this leads to conflicts?
It should be perfectly safe to install this mod partway through a playthrough, or even to install and uninstall it multiple times throughout a playthrough.
When you're having these issues while wearing the modded clothes, is there a always specific piece of modded clothing you are wearing whenever the issue occurs, or does this issue happen with a variety of different modded garments, from different mods?
Ah, okay, thank you for checking that the issue still occurs without the modded clothing being worn. I'm sorry I still don't know why this happening, but I appreciate you working with me to try to figure it out! Two more things, if you don't mind:
If you leave this mod installed but uninstall the clothing mod that requires this one, do the problems persist?
Which clothing mod are you using that requires this mod? A link would be awesome, if you can provide one.
Thank you for getting back to me. I am still at a loss for what exactly the problem could be here. If it were an issue with this mod by itself, I would have expected to encounter the issue myself at some point, or else that someone else might have reported it at some point. That leads me to believe that you could be experiencing some very unlucky combination of mods which are having a conflict, however, no other mods should edit the files that are included in this mod, and thus conflicts generally should not be a possible concern. I will be unable to check back in for several days as I will be busy and then traveling, but I will continue to think on the issue.
The only other thing I can think of at the moment is, are you running an older, not updated version of the game?
I'm having this exact same issue but its every time I load a save. Like the original poster I only have one mod that requires this one. But I haven't been able to access my save at all since installing this mod. Yes my character is waring modded clothing in the save but not its not clothing that uses this mod.
I have still not been able to determine what factors could be causing this issue. As it is only occurring for a very small subset of users, and has only been noted as a problem relatively recently (and not after an update/change to this mod or game patch), I am inclined to believe that the issue is some sort of conflict. However, I can't really make sense of what would conflict with this mod, as it exclusively contains custom files that no other mod should be editing.
I am, unfortunately, at somewhat of a dead end for the moment. If anyone having this issue wishes to be incredibly, incredibly helpful to the troubleshooting process, they could:
Check if they continue to see crashes with just this mod installed.
If crashes do not occur with only this mod installed, add other mods back into your game, a few at a time, checking after each batch to see if the crashes have returned - if so, we would know that the conflict is happening with a mod in the batch of mods most recently added. This would allow us to narrow down the troubleshooting and determine where the problem is happening.
This is a lot of trouble to go through, so it is understandable if no one cares to. However, it is work that I cannot, personally, do, to find the problem.
Hi Nora, thanks for this awesome palette But would you know why the old Graffitti texture with muliple little stickers was +- recently replaced by an unproportionnal texture with red & black/white roses ? Is it caused by this mod or an other ? or a basegame file after last update ? all the clothes and shoes mods using this material are impacted,... is it possible to reverse that ? I have searched but no result...
Edit / OK, Finally I found, these are the 2 mods which cause that replacement, by ingesting their texture : V-Neck Dress & Straples Dress

If a mod you have has this as a requirement, then load it. Other wise, it is of no use to you.
NoraLee is one of our beloved Modders. 💕
is it like a reshade that changes the colours or clothing and the world etc?
edit: nvm i got it working

Problems arise even if you don't wear clothes from mods

If you remove this mod, then the game is stable
Have a good rest
