When motion blur is turned all the way off, it feels so so much better and "real". However, it also seems to introduce some a little jitter feeling. It's not an fps issue (I'm around 100). It's not screen tearing. Anyone else notice this?
Increasing the motion blur to around 50 seems to eliminate this.
you are experiencing stuttering, your cpu can't keep up with your gpu, you have CPU bottleneck, only way around it is by getting a better cpu something that's recommended for your current gpu.
That's exactly what motion blur is supposed to do, you need a little bit of blur to blend the frames on sample-and-hold displays. The movie industry has figured this out a long time ago, and the standard amount of motion blur is also exactly 50%. Every movie is shot with 50% motion blur except for special situations we are all used to 50% motion blur many people just don't know it yet.
You're experiencing framepacing issues, not stutter. Great motion blur is great for that. But it doesn't hide actual framedrops (stutter). Anything that adds additional buffers can help with actual stutters (vsync, etc), but at the cost of increased input latency -- gotta strike a balance you can live with.
Update: I tried this mod at 100% vehicle / 50% on foot, and I noticed sometimes on foot it noticeably affects smoothness somewhat.
There used to be mod called Motion Blur Scales for Different Activities. It would attempt to do similar thing to this mod i think, but one thing i really liked about it, is it localized mb to bottom area of the screen when driving, while rest of the image remained crisp. Do you think it's possible to achieve that? For some reason author deleted that mod.
Does this mod have any known stability issues? I've had some crashes recently and I installed a handful of new mods, this being one if them. Just curious and trying to identify. Thanks
With this game and the tools required for it, it's really important to make a distinction between a glitch and a bug. A glitch is a one-off, a bug can be reproduced. If you get one crash during startup or during gameplay after changing your modlist, just try whatever you were doing again. You'll find that quite often, it doesn't happen again. I suspect it's TweakXL that causes this, but a lot of this game's crashes only occur on first run with a new configuration, and either the shutdown process or some other mechanism corrects the problem, removing it permanently. I have tested this extensively when trying to track down bugs with this game and while I can't prove it, I'm certain that this occurs.
I would use this mod, but actually I lack strenght of motion blur in vehicles at real high speeds. Can we please go past 1.00 strenght? Because that would rock. :D
Sadly the game doesn't allow the motion blur value to go above 1.0.
I believe the only way to further increase the motion blur strength is by editing the world_weather_preset.env file, but I haven't tested this method myself (And I believe it would break the compatibility with many Lighting/LUT mods).

Love the mod btw.
Maybe your logs can help you pinpoint the issue?
could u have plan to add higher value than 1.00 ? if it has that, range of choices expand.
