    Question: When paired w/ Night City Alive, I find I get rear-ended more than I rear-end others, and I'm the one getting fined for being rear-ended. Is there a way to detect when V is the one causing the accident, and when V is not the cause?

      Using Night City Alive in conjunction with this mod also causes the Maelstrom road blockades to get you fined if you bump into the burning car wrecks.

    I know this took a lot of work to make, but being forced to pay for car repair instead of calling a damaged car just makes this impossible to play with. NPCs are horrible drivers.

    nice mod and concept.

    I like the Idea of different subscription levels, though the amount of eddies they cover feels a bit low. Specialy with higher end vehicles.
    
    Also, would like to see proportional repair costs across the board. It makes sense for more expensive vehicles to cost more to repair, but the cost increases steeply, disproportionate to vehicles value. It makes me not want to engage in vehicle combat. For example, with just the Mod and no insurance purchased:
    a Colby CX410 Butte costs 25,000 to purchase new and if it is destroyed it will cost about ~19,035 to repair. Thats about 76% of initial cost of purchase.
    a   Shion MZ2 costs 57,000 to purchase and if it is destroyed it will cost about ~78,084 to repair. Thats about 136% of initial cost. 
    More expensive than buying new if we want to use real world logic.

    The costs aren't proportional to each other and this could make players reluctant acquiring a more expensive vehicle. A 13,000 car would only cost about 55% to repair. I think the natural intended direction of the vanilla game was for players to progress and feel good about acquiring better vehicles. I would hate to see such a good idea/ concept of this mod be hindered by the disproportional costs. Is there any way to change this?

      Easy to balance your self. I have it set up for only 3.420% of the full cost of the car to repair it fully. And reduced all the other things by a ton, especially since I make it so money is like 75% harder to earn in game and things are more expensive lol. 

      Its really simple to "fix" it your self. The mod also was meant to be used with the insurance system which pretty much gives you double the amount of money almost. BUT it doesnt actually work anymore, you can buy insurance, but it does literally nothing lmao. So I just use it for more expensive repairs, call in cost, and cost for hitting cars which I have the numbers for hitting car cost at 0.0275 with a min cost of 15. Seems to be pretty fair. You hit one of the most expensive cars and itll cost like 500 or 600 (if you hit it hard enough). But most the cars cost no more than like 30 bucks at max.

      Tweak the settings, aint hard. really simple, only a few things too tweak to balance it your self.

    archiveXL, tweakXL and codeware were updated. i believe this needs to be updated, too. i keep getting redscript compilation errors

    I love  the mod. Since i have this mod i drive more carefully through NC.

    Is it possible to make a version, that i only have to pay when i crash with player owned cars?

    I mean, when i stole a car from Tygar Claws or Maelstrom, i think they have to pay the bill for a crash, because I drive their car only incognito. :-)

    does this work in 2.12 ? i just broke my game trying to install on a older version before updating to 2.12 and had to redownload the game... now im wary of trying again, although im using vortex this time so i guess i could hopefully successfully remove it if it crashes game on start. but im still wary to try it... can anyone confirm if it works or does not work? the most recent posts are from several months ago...

      Worked fine for me on 2.12a. However there's no in-game mod menu so if you don't like how stupid expensive fast travel is you'll have to edit the files.

      yeah i looked through the files but couldnt find any fixed numbers to change... i have dug through the file but dont understand what to adjust...

    Great mod, really adds to the immersion, but is there a way to disable the change to the main menu screen? Not a fan of the scribbled on logo

      Anyone know a way around this, I really dont like it. Feels like a watermark on my game.

      I made an edited version of the .archive removing TANSTAAFL's main menu using Wolvenkit:

      The only thing the .archive contains now is the shop icon for the insurance store on the computer ingame. You still need the rest of TANSTAAFL's files, just replace the "TANSTAAFLPart1.archive" with "TANSTAAFLPart1_NoMainMenu.archive" from the download.

      I would also encourage folks to simply open up "TANSTAAFLPart1Configs.reds" in r6/scripts to edit any of the costs associated with the mod. I saw a lot of complaints for too high of prices for summoning, fast travel, etc. and you can change these values super easily. Here are some that I changed: https://i.imgur.com/m13DPeV.png

    Having an issue where my car wont come because I am 5 eddies in debt and whenever I try to pay the debt on the terminal nothing goes through. Anyone know a fix?
