About this mod

This pack addresses two of the most common complaints about the vanilla game: the lack of a quicksave system and the frustratingly short sprint duration.
You can choose to install the complete package or just the stamina one.
This mod is for the original 2011 PC version of Crysis 2 (v1.9). It is NOT compatible with the Remastered Version.

You can choose to install the complete package or just the stamina one (ReducedSprintDrain).
This mod is for the original 2011 PC version of Crysis 2 (v1.9). It is NOT compatible with the Remastered Version.

Features

This FixPack contains two main components:

1. Reduced Sprint Drain

This is a surgical change to the Nanosuit's energy system.
  • Balanced Stamina: The energy cost for sprinting has been significantly reduced from the default value of 15 down to a much more manageable 4.
  • Feels Like Crysis 1: This allows you to run for much longer periods without completely draining your energy, giving you greater tactical mobility on the battlefield.
  • Vanilla Balance: All other Nanosuit functions like Armor, Cloak, and Power Jump have their original energy costs. This is not a "god mode" mod; it's a specific fix to make sprinting feel right.
2. Quicksave Functionality (Essential PC Feature)
This component re-enables the classic PC feature of quicksaving.

  • Save Anywhere: Press F5 to save your game at any moment.
  • Load Instantly: Press F9 to load your last quicksave, getting you right back into the action.

Installation
A full readme.txt is included with detailed instructions.

There are two installation options:

Option 1: The Complete FixPack (Recommended)

  • Download the main "FixPack" file.
  • Copy the FixPack folder into your ...\Crysis 2\Mods\ directory.
  • Add -mod FixPack to the target line of your Crysis2.exe shortcut.
  • Launch the game using the shortcut. This gives you both the sprint fix and quicksave.

Option 2: Reduced Sprint Drain ONLY
  • Download the optional "ReducedSprintDrain_Standalone" file.
  • Copy the ReducedSprintDrain folder into your ...\Crysis 2\Mods\ directory.
  • Add -mod ReducedSprintDrain to the target line of your Crysis2.exe shortcut.
  • Launch the game using the shortcut. This gives you ONLY the sprint fix.
How to Play

  • Always launch the game using your new modded shortcut.
  • In case you installed the quicksave mod : from the main menu, select "MOD CAMPAIGN" to start or load a level.
  • IMPORTANT: Do NOT use the "Resume Game" button from the main menu, as this can cause glitches with mods. To continue a saved game, load the level you were on from the MOD CAMPAIGN menu and then press F9 to load your last quicksave.
