i got the mod to work by making the following updates using notepad++:
1. extract the mod (obviously) & first open the "advanced education.mod" file via notepad++, & update the path name "path="C:/Users/YOUR-USER-NAME/Documents/Paradox Interactive/Crusader Kings III/mod/Advanced Education" - replace obviously "your-user-name" with your initials or name or whatever to match its location; 2. Also, update the "supported version" line, instead of "1.2.1" i changed mine to "1.9.0.4"; and 3. open the file "Advanced Education" & open the descriptor.mod file & do the same re: the version; update it to "1.9.0.4" or whichever one you're using. (& i think you can use an asterisk so you're not updating each version with every little update, if it's a version 1 point something like 1.* then if it gets to version 2, "2.*" but that's a guess from what i've seen; i don't really know :P)
I think it must be compatible with later versions of game. And btw you can just add path="mod/Advanced Education" and don't bother with absolute paths.
