EDIT: You can ignore the below; I got it to work by enabling Developer Mode on Windows and then running the installer as Administrator. (I will leave this post here in case anyone in the future has the same issue.

Similar to another user, I have the "Object reference not set to an instance of an object." error when trying to run the Mod Installer.
It looks like most of the files are in the extraction folder when I check, but the game does not run due to lack of Xbox integration:
