Originally there is no data_pc folder. When you download this mod or any texture mod for Control you simply drop the data_pc folder in your Control game folder.
i.e. D:\Epic Games\Control\ <--- drop data_pc folder here
I'm willing to bet ReShade with addon support can do it, but it'll make her feet invisible since underneath it's all hollow. Basically, the skin textures you see is what is there. Removing pieces of clothing doesn't reveal anything, those parts are invisible. A workaround would be to retexture the socks into feet. Though that will require some mesh editing which is currently not available for the game.
This game is so much better than aw2 such a disappointment and I played the hell out of aw1 and remember max payne 2 and it's remedy live action tv too. Remedy went too far towards quantum break interactive movie, which I skipped because I like to PLAY games, lots better movies, books and such out there if I want story mostly. I played control when it hit steam in 2020 and generally liked it but it's hit more with me now, started a new game and even w the typical remedy annoying design decisions it's interesting and the right balance of playing and as much or little story as you like. Foundation DLC way better than AWE. I hope they resolve AW's arc in control 3 in 4 years instead of 8 years to a full cgi movie called AW3.
I haven't tried Alan Wake 2 just yet, but so far I've only heard good things about it. Though, I know it's not for everyone. We'll see what comes next from Remedy.
I like hands on gaming, I want a visual novel I'll go read good real novels, but it's just a bit of hands on gaming with small levels so not much to exploration once you've passed a level and has a LOT of cutscenes and such and my tastes don't really agree w remedonts cheesy stuff a lot of the time ymmv I think remedont's good at the online ai manipulation game, even the ones you think are "real" people commenting are just the ai, I see plenty of comments from people who just don't get the love for it, not to mention official reviews. From a value pov it's terrible, 60$ for 20-25hrs at most gametime and hours of that is cutscenes and cringeyness like the walking through a music video scene.
Give me Ashtray Maze all day. And there's a similar cool one in the Foundation dlc with the movie camera too not as good but memorable no doubt. Foundation is by far the best DLC here. And with AW2 you need a pretty good computer to play it, I got terrible stutters in the dark place sometimes and all the time during a few of the boss fights, not well optimized but remedonts games usually aren't. At least Northlight isn't UE5 oof. Story sucks, smacks of franchise extending instead of a cohesive story, similar to the "ending" of this game lmao
Hey i'm also trying to create a Control mod but I can't find the northlight tool to export the game's textures. All the links in other mods are dead. Do you know of an active link I could download or a tool that can export the game files?
Hmmm... all of the links generate 'EXPIRED LINKS...' nonsense once selected for download. Any blue's clues? Manual install via Vortex still seems to be working though. Cheers!

I'm not sure I understand. Do you mean that you can't switch between outfits as in being locked on civilian outfit only? Or do you mean that the civilian outfit retexture reverts back to it's original vanilla form?
Yes. For example- I choose astral suit from central executive and change into that. But when i fast travel to other locations such as nsc power plant or coolant pumps, my astral outfit changes back to civilian
