this doesnt work for me either. tested with several other mods and no other mods, several different values for r.PostProcessAAQuality, made sure dinput8.dll was in the correct folder, and avoided the graphics options menu.  no luck.

      Define "doesnt work".
Only way to verify it doesn't work is to use console enabler and directly check value of r.defaultfeature.antialiasing
As long as the value is set to 1 the mod is working and FXAA is enabled.

by "doesnt work" i mean i didnt see any antialiasing.

anyway checking r.defaultfeature.antialiasing with the console returns "r.DefaultFeature.AntiAliasing = "0"LastSetBy: Console"

i can set fxaa and taa and no aa through the console just fine. i tested with other mods and no mods. there are no other dlls in the folder. dinput8.dll isnt blocked by windows or windows defender. and i have no other antivirus software.

Then only thing i can imagine is that DLL is loaded too early and it applies itself before game loads its settings from the save file, overwriting the mod.

Granted i only tested on SSD using its load speeds. On HDD it might load too slow for the mod to function properly.

is this an issue you can address with the dll? i can test any updates if you need me to.

Dang I can't get this to work and I'm even putting [PostProcessQuality@3] header
r.PostProcessAAQuality=6 in the  Scalability.ini file :( Maybe it just doesn't work anymore :(

That only defines quality of AA, FXAA is enabled as long as the mod .dll is placed in proper directory.
With that said, going into settings will reset the AA since the game doesn't allow you to use FXAA by default.

I didn't read the description fully and when into graphics menu and backed out and it got rid of shadows completely and floor and walls are all glowing (presuming lighting problem). what is the recommended fix for this

Highly unlikely this is caused by this mod, it only affects antialiasing and modifies values in memory so even if it broke anything, issues wouldn't last past game reboot.

I put dinput8.dll to the folder with game's executable (while setting anti-aliasling to off in game's settings before this) and game is still jaggy on gamesave load, just like when AA is off.

And when I turn aa to TAA and restart the game it seemingly just enables TAA instead of FXAA - everything is blurry and stuff.

Do I need set AA ot off or on in game's settings for this mod to work properly?

Am I doing something wrong maybe?

Are you putting the dll in
      steamapps\common\CODE VEIN\CodeVein\Binaries\Win64

      ?

      Yes, to "Steam\steamapps\common\CODE VEIN\CodeVein\Binaries\Win64\"

      That's where game's exe is.

Then it should work unless your copy is some different exe, like cracked one.

AA should be set to FXAA and stay that way until you enter graphics options as that will revert it back to either no AA or TAA.

    I have a question since you seem to understand this topic;

is there a way to "mod" in a way to use more different resolutions in windowed mode
i hate that theres only 1 (13XX x xxxx) resolution in windowed
as i usually like to play games in windowed but this low res makes is basically impossible

    Awesome.

Do you know how can I remove motion blur effect without disabling post processing effect?

Uh, isn't it accessible by default in advanced graphics options?

FXAA adds to blur, and to completely get rid of blur you need to get into the config files and change several things.

This has almost the same setup as Tekken, a config guide on that should get you started.

    Performance impact?

edit: nevermind, it's pretty obvious it would be somwhere in between no AA and TAA.

It pretty much depends on value of r.PostProcessAAQuality, details on that are in "Configuration" segment of mod description.
