This appears to be an issue with missing assets or invalid references. Missing assets can possibly be solved by reinstalling or verifying files. Referencing on the other hand is where the mod defines the asset locations. Maybe it has to do with file structure due to different sources of the game, or maybe the mod is broken. I won't be at this code for a while so I can't say for sure yet. I'm on Steam and just got my first code and it works fine.
Okay, so the common string I'm noticing is that the ones that don't have it working (like me) are using Deluxe Edition. The Windows Store/Gamepass version, right? (Admittedly, I grabbed a Repack of Deluxe cause I had bought the game and Season Pass on Steam already, but wanted the unavailable preorder content... 😅 ) Meanwhile, I'm guessing all of you that have it working fine are running the Steam version?
I'll reinstall my Steam version after work and check how it works there. Will report back here if I find anything out.
Okay. It took far longer than expected because of my slow download speed, but I can confirm that on the Steam version of Code Vein, with all DLC/the Season Pass, this mod works perfectly fine. No white squares or unusable abilities, even in a transferred save that had the white squares issue in the Windows Store/Deluxe Edition of the game. So it seems like this bug is actually a compatibility issue with non-Steam versions of the game. Since people without the DLC also seem to report the white squares issue, it looks like the reason might be because of the different folder structure used between versions. The mod probably can't find the required DLC assets it needs, and ends up acting like you don't have them at all, leading to the unusable white squares.
Guess all that can really be done is hoping that someone makes a version of this mod that's compatible with the Deluxe Edition.
Dunno whether or not you read the posts on this mod anymore, but I'm having the same issue as everyone else. A lot of the skills, especially on the Tantalus Blood Code, are just unusable white squares. I've installed, uninstalled, reinstalled, tried installing and reinstalling it with and without Ishtar, and even tried an older version of the mod, but it just doesn't work. Any idea as to what could be going on? This seems like a really neat mod, and it'd be a shame if it has no way to make it work. =(
EDIT: For those wondering, this seems to be a compatibility issue caused by using a non-Steam version of the game, as I can confirm that it works just fine when using the baseline Steam version with the Season Pass. Odds are, the only thing that can be done is waiting for a compatible version.
Any chance you could make a custom blood code called void, image of the queen, no new abilities and passives but with high all-rounds stats (A or S) ? pretty please
Nice mod. A few niggling complaints here and there; there are several spelling and grammar errors in the ability descriptions, at least one of the abilities is locked to a bloodcode (which is only really a complaint cuz thanks to another mod, that is literally the ONLY locked ability in the game for me), but overall a pretty decent bit of added content. I'd honestly have fixed those small issues myself and had a perfect mod if I could figure out how to do anything in UE, but it looks like it'll take ages to figure out and I'm not exactly a model of patience.
Could you give a hint on which file controls the event or flag that awards you the blood codes so that you can force it on your character early or whatever.
Hi. Thanks for the great mod. I just have a little problem getting Blood Codes "Queen's heart" and "Queen's brain" after defeating Cathedral Guardian & Skull King. What should I do?

Is there any solution?

But.. can we have an optional files that all blood codes are masterable and not exclusive ?
