    Sticky
So it seems like the Standalone version doesn't appear while creating a new character, it shows up in the editor on existing saves. I'll look into fixing it but for now you'll have to set the hair after making your character.

Turns out the Character Creator will only show hairs that are available for both genders, this issues has been solved in 2.1 of the mod. I'll leave this post here incase anyone else has this issues with making or installing other standalone hair mods.

Hey! I'm having trouble with getting the mod to work. I downloaded the standalone version, and since there was no instruction how to install it in the post, nor any readme text file attached to the files, I just decided to put the .pak file into the '~mods' folder. However when I opened the game the hairstyle was not available in character creation, so now I'm lost. What should I do?

Well i'm not quite sure what this issue is, it's just like any unreal mod so the pak just goes in the ~mods folder. The Hair should show up on the end of the hair list, and it's only available for female characters.

you can also check the log file in "%LOCALAPPDATA%\CodeVein\Saved\Logs" to see if the game is in fact loading the pak file, you should see something like this in at the start of the file.LogPakFile: Warning: Mount:../../../CodeVein/Content/Paks/~mods/PlayableCruzHair_Standalone_P.pak:103

I checked the log file - it's just like you said, the line is right there so the game should be loading the hair. However it still doesn't appear in character creation at all.

Edit: I just downloaded the mod with standalone, blue versions of the Bloodthirst accessories, and that one is working perfectly fine right away. I tried re-downloading Cruz's hair & placing the file in the folder again, but I still haven't managed to get it to appear in character creation.

hello i was wondering could you make a version of the short hair that replaces one of the other short styles so its compatible with mods that
replace like other mods that replace the same hair slot like the aurora hair style mod ?

I added a standalone version so now it doesn't have to replace any hair style.

    Cruz hair already exists
But the short hair is a good addition.

Well yeah, and they did a good job on that. But as I explained in the description there was issues with the weights, most likely from using auto assign which caused the hair to stretch is really weird ways when moving. So that's why I made my own version.

Jupp, 100% correct. Hahaha. Was my first mod and first time 3d modeling. So auto assign was used.

Don't worry, it's still a work in progress but it'll be released in the future.
