About this mod

An extension for Shockwave mod that balances things further & adds to the mod.

The edit aims at tuning down SFX & sci-fi\futuristic concepts the mod had introduced and at giving the player more options & playstyles such as GLA Air, Kwai ranged support units, 2nd class artillery per faction w\ limited RoF, etc.

  • balance the 3 new generals & other things in general further
  • re-script AI for Skirmish & General Challenge to be more challenging
  • optimize SFX, especially smoke-puff rocket trails & remove gore
  • Allow more playstyles & buildorders such as viable early GLA airfield, USA airforce & infantry variety, Tier 2 aircrafts, and amphibious units.
  • More consistent hotkeys & resolve conflicting ones
  • resolve bugs such as air units reloading mid-air, Combat Bike not selecting to occupant upon evacuating, etc.
  • accentuate  themes, i.e. Demo General shells deal marginally more damage to structures; Laser General kinetic force; Airforce airburst delivery system; Tank General facile long range units; etc.
  • extend firestorm logic such that different units can contribute, i.e. Inferno Cannon & MiG firing at the same spot create firestorm; Alexander's Aurora & Tomahawk create plasma storm, etc.
  • total rework of garrisons & garrison clearing weapons: weapons are no longer instantanious & need to dose the target building bonuses to occupants were nerfed & garrison toughness are to be rescaled.
  • tougher & faster jets to improve fight range, make dogfighting viable
  • overhaul for Armor General as Synergetics General: relies on SpecOps, APCs, Elite units, Drones (tentatively) & off-map deployment\reinforcement.
  • attenuate suicide damage vs units but marginally buff it vs structures, furthermore, Bomb Trucks are faster unless upgraded to HE.
  • General Promotion point distribution system is now more granular: Rank 1 GPs now unlock more than a single unit; Strike GPs (Artillery Barrage, A10 Striker, etc) cost progressively more (cost 1,2,3 points); each promotion grants 2 points instead of 1
  • all large helicopters are now able to collect supplies & Combat Drop troops; each faction is planned to have at least 1 rappeling infantry: USA Rangers, Marines, & Burton; GLA Hijackers & Saboteurs; China is to be decided.
  • alternative supply collection methods such as helicopter aerial, all-terrain, & amphibious harvesters per faction
  • a variety of new tech buildings: presently includes RotR tech suite + Turbine Windmill to bolster GLA chances vs hard ShockWave nerfs
