download this: https://www.techpowerup.com/download/nvidia-dlss-3-frame-generation-dll/ And put in sandfall\plugins\nvidia\dlss\binaries\thirdparty\win64\
There is the normal dlss dll as well, so if the file in downloads is making it work, it most likely needs this file.
Edit: It looks like its working for me. Gone up from around 70 fps to 98 fps at the first flag in monoco's station.
Gotta say though that i made some changes of the values, that came with the download, and that i copied all of the values from gameusersettings to engine.
Edit2: fps drops to high 60's when moving around fires and zoomed in.
Not in every game that supports frame gen I have double the frames. Most of the time its somewhere in between 60-70% to 95%/100%
For example in ac shadows, it's around 70% extra where in cyberpunk its around 95%e extra. Why that is i don't know, maybe my fps meter is off, but i always use the fps counter given via the nvidia app. Thats because i dont play all my games through steam, and this one is for me the most leightweight, and also gives me an easy way to enable hdr (rtx hdr in this case) if a game dont support hdr by itself.
Aye, have done that and it seems to be working :) As well just in case i have downloaded the frame generation dll just to be sure.
But like i've said before, frame generation not always gives me a 100% boost of fps :) Seems to be the case for this game as well, but nevertheless it works, and makes my game a lot more solid.
Shame that frame generation is only available for 4000 and 5000 series cards :( I mean what a difference it would make for my brother with his (and my old) 2070...
for me it is not working at all. i placed all files into the folder but framegen is not triggered. i tested it with the DLSS FG Mod by PureDark. with the FG Mod i get 100-120 fps. when i try the ini tweak with proper framegen i have only 55-65 fps
The only thing that is not working is Frame Generaton, I wanna try it, how can I get it working?
I used the FG Lines in.ini
Guys I managed to mix all boost settings from 10 mods and ten tweaked ini, getting only those I neede and testing one by one getting the personal uni, halved performance but DLSS4 forced transformer preset K works like a charm and can play dlss performance 4k without any graphical downgrade (really). Then I made comparison screenshots cause just by feeling nothing looked different, also used the best reshade that matched my needs and modified it to accomplish perfect balance in sharpness, contrast, saturation, HDR and bloom visibility and dark visibility (many many reshades are meant on creators hardware and monitor, all reshades basically boost light and dark and you loose all details in bloom and shadows, so you need to correct).
The only thing that is not working is Frame Generaton, I wanna try it, how can I get it working?
This comment section is a disaster, it looks like the edited .ini is full of non-existent/useless/not working parameters and it's not even an engine.ini tweak. Does anyone know of an actual good mod to improve fps a bit? Is there any mod that actually implements frame gen?
You could use lossless scaling to improve your fps and also this are some of the best ini settings ive found after months of research and 100s of test and trials and if you did everything correctly, this would make the game look many times better
I mean, there's tons of people here letting others know that what you're saying is not true. Can you actually elaborate and prove them wrong? What about the parameters that don't exist or those that don't do anything?
Every parameter have been researched by me to solve various issues and there are 3 differen lumen techniques along with hardware lumen which u could force into the game and i tried it all to find this. This mod was not made to post on here but was made as i prefer the absolute best visuals in any game i play and why would i add bloats when im gonna use it myself??? And every single command fixes an issue which was in the game like the fog in this game is very low quality and not dense which this solves, the draw distance line solves the pop in , the mipmap solves only loading best quality assets n so on even the mouse line fixes the super fast mouse accelaration which is in the game.
Well unless you are using AMD gpu the dlss g should be working and this are the same commands to push frame gen in games which doesnt have frame gen and have been used in many other games and as other ini tweaks most of the tweaks should be working and you should definetely see the lumen reflections and lumen ray bounce instantly
Man i use dlss overlay that says if dlss is working, dlssg is working, which preset dlss is using ecc. I've a 40' series nvdia card,Your script does nothing
Have u placed all the content inside the game user settings?? As it is not a official implementation your mileage may vary but it did work for some people including me and this are some of the best ini tweaks ive found after 100s of test trials and after months of figuring it out in multiple games and if it works correctly i could say surely you will see the best quality graphics. Sorry if its having issues with your config
Are you sure you placed all the settings commands into the game user settings commands?? It should perfectly work as ive been using this codes from multiple UE titles and this are the best of the lots and if everything works properly this should really be the best ini tweaks and should change the look of the game dramatically. And this have been tested 100s of times to get the perfect balance
DLSSG does not work frames are no different. I also added to engine.ini which didn't work either. Yes I downloaded the dlssg file and put in same folder as dlss. I have a 4090 by the way.
I think the DLSSG is not an official implementation so your mileage may vary and for me it works but the fps increase is not as drastic as official implementation. And this are the same commands which are used to push DLSSG in ue games with non existent FG. And for this you dont need the dlssg file, but this mod has some graphics optimization tweaks so u could use that in order to gain stability.
Where did you get 2000 from if the default value is 180? lol ChatGPT has you fooled)))))) Like I said - figure out how the unreal engine settings work and what values they should have. That guy can decide anything, but I claim they don't do what you're talking about because I know for sure.
You might want to look into the UE documentation. So is it 2000 or 20000? Anyway, I don't know what parameter you are talking about, but it is definitely not r.Lumen.TraceMeshSDFs.TraceDistance
UPD Ah, I see. You mean your r.LumenScene.SDFTraceDistance? Such a parameter does not exist in UE) Where did you even get them from? ChatGPT seems to be able to provide more correct information already
First of all - GameUserSettings.ini is a vanilla file of in-game settings. Such tweaks should be added to engine.ini. Secondly - The settings themselves are either already enabled in the game, or do not work, or take too much fps with almost no visual impact. For example, r.VolumetricFog.GridPixelSize=4 takes away 10+fps, and the visual difference is not a fact that you can see with a magnifying glass. Don't mislead people with your descriptions about ‘astronomical’ difference. You're just ruining the gaming experience for people who don't understand what they're installing.
Well most people dont have engine ini for this game as its missing and adding engine ini messes with mods sometimes and 2nd of all every single settings is explained in details and its mentioned cinematic quality which is ultra high and whatever fps is lost is gained by adding frame gen and other optimzation tweak and i have a medium end machine and i dont add bloats as i myself use it and tried n tested it. And literally adding the line extra ray bounce changes the whole look of the game by adding more ray tracing bounces n this is just one feature.
Why set some parameters from cinematic mode, if they do not do parktically nothing but reduce fps? Why add parameters that are already included in the game? Why add parameters that simply don't work? What kind of bounces are we talking about? Diffuse lighting is already in the game, and your r.Lumen.DiffuseIndirect=1 does nothing, because this parameter doesn't exist lol Neither does r.Lumen.DiffuseIndirect.AllowSecondBounce. Either by asserting such things, be prepared to provide comparisons.
it's called r.Lumen.DiffuseIndirect.Allow r.Lumen.DiffuseIndirect.AllowSecondBounce is non-existent xD
best way is to use UUU to dump all available and tweakable cvars for this title and the tweak them one by one so many copy paste ue slop tweaks out there
You can use this files easily and 4090 is more than enough maybe u can even push it a bit higher by going to 3 on all the draw distance settings or even 4

r.NGX.DLSS.G.OverrideAutoEnable=1

> About nothing.
This is the result (all maxed out, DLAA 1440p on a 4090 / 7800X3D): https://imgur.com/a/lGTnNwe
Using it as an Engine.ini seems to enable Lumen, lost about 10 fps.
It does not enable Frame gen, override is not supported.
Overall: does it change the look? Yes
Does it improve the look? Debatable
Does it improve performance? Nope
I want to reduce the fog effect, how do I do that?
r.Fog=1
r.FogDensity=0.005
r.FogStartDistance=150
r.FogHeightFalloff=0.05
r.VolumetricFog=1
r.VolumetricFog.GridPixelSize=4
r.VolumetricFog.GridSizeZ=64
r.VolumetricFog.HistoryMissSupersampleCount=4 ;
r.VolumetricFog.Jitter=0
r.Lumen.TraceMeshSDFs=1
r.Lumen.TraceMeshSDFs.Allow=1
r.Lumen.TraceMeshSDFs.TraceDistance=300
r.LumenScene.DirectLighting.OffscreenShadowing.TraceMeshSDFs=1
scamming people with literally decreasing trace distance from 2000 to 300 to get few fps ???
Like I said - figure out how the unreal engine settings work and what values they should have. That guy can decide anything, but I claim they don't do what you're talking about because I know for sure.
Perhaps I should use a different mode.
Thanks anyway.
Both modes are the best modes for me.
