    Does this allow the AI to level up commanders faster too so they put up more of a fight?  (Assuming they even use the promotions.)

      I honestly don't know, unfortunately. The parameter is called player armies experience rate, but the AI is also a 'player'. Can't tell whether they use the promotions or not as their commanders tend to die off pretty quickly regardless!
