I am still working on the custom NPC you can talk to in order to find out the likes/dislikes of the Clan. I got a different computer that should be able to process it all much, much faster than the old clunker.
In regards to her appearance, she'll likely be an adjustment and recoloring of one of the in-game cats. Regrettably, my art skills have proven to be utter garbage for the mod.
This mod is incompatible with the following mods: (please note this isnt a request for the creator, this is just to help other ppl who have a lot of mods installed and are wondering why tf this mod keeps on showing up as not loaded)
-tweaked dens -friendship meter for forest guardian -accessory crafting -arthur's mod -chaucers chandlery -grey beaky mask -don't call me kid -recolor crystal -greedypaws -don't call me hon -pretty much most npc mods
NOTE ABOUT WHY MODS ARE INCOMPATIBLE: Most mods are incompatible with each other because they are both editing the same already existing file. For example: You have a Phantom mod that changes their likes and dislikes, then you have another mod that changes the colors of Phantom's ingame sprite. Both of these mods would be editing the phantom.meta file, which makes them incompatible with each other.
hi! just in case you were unaware, unfortunately your patch for changing the random NPC names is ineffective (unless something is very wrong with my game, haha). i believe what you changed is actually the random player names the game generates for you; i did a bit of digging around in the files and it seems that names you want are hardcoded in, at least from what i can see, so they may not be pawsible to alter </3
Regrettably, I'm not sure if/when I'll be able to make the mod compatible with other mods. I'll put it on my to-do list, but I can't make any promises. For now, I'm working on the mod with Darksong to offer info on all the different cats, but that is also its own struggle. For whatever reason, the images I drew for Darksong's portraits aren't being recognized by the mod or base game.
Please do keep in mind that if other mods use human/twoleg language, that's not something I'll be able to dive in and change without express permission from the other mod author. What I did for my mod was go through all the dialogue and descriptions, line by line, to ensure I didn't miss anything (and I still missed things, nobody's perfect). So, since I only changed lines in the base game, nothing in mods will be altered along with this mod's download.
I'll see about mod compatibility in the future once my workload is lighter!
I'm currently writing the dialogue for one of Darksong's kits, Mistykit. My toddler is helping me with the lines, so a good bit of what Mistykit says actually came out of the mouth of a toddler!
Hello! I was going through the files and noticed that I uploaded the wrong file for one of the NPCs, a kit named Aster. Their file has been updated with the correct file, and their new name is Applekit. Sorry about that! Should be safe to update mid-game.
A future update is going to put a she-cat called Darksong in the Clan. There will be two versions available, both of which are entirely optional.
She has information on all potential Clan members, and you can ask her about them to find out their birthday, their loves/likes/dislikes/hates, their original names, even whether or not they can have their own mate/kits-- and who that mate is. She even knows about the old Clans and will be happy to discuss them. It'll all be in an immersive way, so don't worry about that. She'll knock on the fourth wall every so often, but will never break it. For the time being, her appearance is a blue color-shift of Zephyrwind's portraits, until I get the chance to create personal art for her. I'm not sure whether she'll stilll have this appearance by the time it's uploaded, but if it is, rest assured she'll have originals soon enough.
In the first version, she'll have a crush on Talonstorm, but it'll go unrequited. You'll have the option to tell them about it, but Talonstorm will just feel awkward and never confront her. She'll moon after him whether or not your cat or [rival mate] end up with them. I'm not sure when it'll be uploaded, but hopefully, it'll be soon.
In the second, you have the option to encourage them to become mates in the same manner as the other Clan mate-rivalries. They will develop their own relationship and eventually have two kits. Jackdawkit will be one of them, with a personality and appearance change. The second is yet to be named. This version is a long time coming as I need a good bit of learning and testing to do.
A note: Darksong's got a secret! Can you figure it out while talking to her?

The most recent update renamed the random Clan cats that assist you in battle to give them Clan names.
