Different modding communities (slash open-source game development communities as in this case) have different prevailing... practices, I guess you'd say. Some communities are happy to just stick stuff on temporary download sites and put a link in a forum thread. I remember when I mentioned the Nexus on the CDDA forums, there were people there who had never heard of it.
With CDDA it might also be that development is relatively fast-paced and mods often end up being included in/with the game itself - leaving the original download locations for the mods sort of obsolete. That's what happened with RetroDays, for example.
Looks very nice! And, as you mentioned in the description, the increased view distance is a really good thing. Unfortunately, that is exactly what makes my game run unplayably slowly when I use your tileset (or even when I just zoom out while playing with a tileset with bigger tiles).
I don't get slowdown from the display size (I run it fullscreen at 1680x1050), but I do get it when there's a lot of items lying around in view. So yeah, the game's tile-mode does need some optimisation...
No slowdowns, my game just runs constantly slowly when I get it to display a too big chunk of the world, either by using small tiles (or no tiles) or by zooming out. I didn't notice any slowdowns with a lot of items lying around though.
Actually, maybe that wasn't the whole problem after all. I have been using the 20p version for the past few days now without too much of a difficulty. Anyway, to repeat myself, I love it. Thank you very much.
Most amazing looking tileset i've seen so far Too bad 10px version is crashing my game I have the latest stable version of Cataclysm and the 20px v. works fine :o

That's pretty strange; I only use the 10px version myself, and haven't had any problems (or other reports of this).
