Do NOT update your MelonLoader to v0.6.2 until mods are updated. Any mods released prior v0.6.0 will not be compatible and need to be re-worked. QoLmod will stay on v0.5.7 until further noticed.
Does MelonLoader Automated installer pop up everytime I load car mechanic simulator 2021 after installing the QOLmod? If so, someone needs to add that in the description.
Check the terminal to see what it's doing. Your antivirus might've had a fit about one of the dependencies of melonloader and denied write access to the filepath. If so, uninstall melonloader, move the game to another drive through steam (or move the game to another folder on the same drive and add the exe as a non-steam game), add the game folder as an exception in your antivirus and reinstall melonloader. See if it works for you then.
what are you using for the menu cause when i try to do like the video and move cars i just have the pie menu and cannot select any extra slots wereas you had a whole screen and it showed all the cars under your possession and Etc.
With the mod active, your extra parking spaces are taken from your garage storage. So typically your garage storage is just a place to keep cars and you can view them in a limited way. MeitziQ made it so that is where you place cars in your "inventory" to have them display around your lot.
I haven't played in a while, but I think you get 10 spaces in storage automatically, then you can purchase 10 more, and so on. So when you're configuring your ExtraCarLoaderPlaces.cfg file, the first 10 spaces will be your first 10 garage slots, then you have to purchase another 10 if you want to place 20 cars, and so on.
So at the very beginning of the video below, you can see me move a car from one of the QoLMod spots on my lot to the outside door so I can start working on it. If you look closely, you can see that I select the regular Move option from the pie menu, which takes me to my garage interface, then I move the car from there.
It's not the most intuitive thing in the world, but it's kinda brilliant how he cobbled these awesome features onto existing facets of the game. It's the same if you enable the paint/chrome any part option, where he tacked that functionality onto the paint station outside the paint bay. It's a little awkward to figure out at first, but you'll get the hang of it pretty quick if you stick with it.
In the comments for the video below, I go into a lot of detail on how to set up your parking spaces, and you can download the ExtraCarLoaderPlaces.cfg from the link in the description if you need something to use as a template to get you started.
MelonLoader says that the mod is being loaded, but I don't see the effects of the mod in-game, and BitDefender flagged one of MelonLoader's dependency files (Unity.RenderPipelines.Core.Runtime.dll) as infected with Gen:Variant.Lazy.477343

For anyone else installing this and using bitdefender (or any other antivirus that flags the above file as harmful), when you install the game, add the entire game installation folder as an exception in your antivirus, THEN install melonloader.
i just got the mod and everything is working fine, bt idk where to put the file "ExtraCarLoaderPlaces", i have the warehouse subscription on steam, so i have the map, bt i don't know how to put my cars in there
I've recently purchased CMS21 from Steam and installed MelonLoader 0.5.7 as well as the QoL mod. The game seems to load correctly but there are no indications that the mod itself is active. I have similar issues with other mods such as Authentic Branding which do not rely on MelonLoader and the game itself seems to be full of easter eggs - literally.
Any advice relating to your QoL mod would be much appreciated - thank you.
If you installed non QoLmod version of Authentic Branding that overwrites game files, it will break the game. Verify steam files and then try re-install melonloader if needed.
You're probably better off going to Discord for support. MeitziQ has said he's not likely to update the mod anymore, so this isn't the place you're most likely to run into him. He's been on the games Discord a bunch in the past, and there's lots of people there familiar with modding that might be able to assist.
