How are you doing man? I've tested your Rakk build today (finally got some free time) and it's indeed incredible. FL4K is my main (along with Moze, still can't decide) and I've been using a Rakk build since day one. Just not as good as your xD Wish you an incredible Christmas.
I'm doing quite well. It's cold outside and the puppy just got fixed. She is on a vet ordered week of no playing, so I'm staying in and playing BL3 even more. xD
Thank you for the kind words. It means a lot coming from you. Yes, it's a nice build but you shouldn't compare it to your own. Those newer +50% elemental damage anointments on shield/nade, as well as the r4kk p4k are what really makes all the synergies work together that well. Since those came out at a very similar time as you getting super busy it's just not a fair comparison. I'm sure with time invested you'd find something just as good and probably quite different. Us Rakk Fl4kkers were all struggling before the Maliwan Takedown patch.
I'm going to update "You're a Wizard" in the next day or so. I've made some significant weapon choice changes. I'm using a Rad/Cryo Ion Laser, Cryo/Rad Recursion, and a Cryo x2 Ion Cannon with charge speed on the class mod. 4th weapon is still up in the air. Slaughtershaft is a joke now, Graveward is a three shot kill, and with proper overkill management you can one shot each of Jackbot's immunity phases. Might result in nerfs or Mayhem 5 to be released tbh.

Oh man, I so wish a dog eheh, but for now I don't have the space for those wonderful creatures. Someday I will, I'm sure about that.
I can see the 50% Elemental Damage Anointments making a big difference, that for sure but the Rakk Build was never a let down for me. What I truly love about FL4K is the weapons freedom you have. By watching some videos btw, I can see where you are coming from though, since while it was a good build even before, it wasn't Mayhem 4 ready that for sure. You made it happen and that's it eheh (even though some out there are not crediting you at all, but eh).
I personally can't wait to see what this build can do with all the new toys. I've watched some streams in the past 2 days and I have already a favourite: the Craps. Maybe I'm biased though, since I'm a Torgue lover xD Regarding the ION Cannon: if they ever nerf that thing just because people are already complaining on the forum, I'm gonna surf a Rakk on my way to the Texas ahah. When you create such a thing, you must know the consequences (and I think they made it for a good reason). This gun is the classic "Don't like it, don't use it but don't ruin everybody's fun". It kinda reminds me of a big old favourite of mine, from Mass Effect 3 (Reegar Carbine, if you ever played it).
Do not take me too seriously though, if I was on the balance team I'll probably end up incorporating the Rakk 100% Debuff Anointment in the Action Skill itself and make the 300% Weapon Damage Anointment after AS for FL4K too ahah. The Recursion was already an Hidden Gem before the Elementals Anointments, but right now it's ridiculous. I've heard that it's kinda glitched in that regard, since for every new Elemental Damage you are adding to it (that's why it was so good on Amara even before), it spawns an additional puck of projectiles for each elements.
I was struggling in Mayhem 3 and with the ghosts Pre-Maliwan Takedown. Slaughtershaft was near impossible for me.
The Craps is definitely one of my favorites. Right now it's in the 4th slot, as you can see from the Read Only files. Two Fang procs on top of the 5x Gyros so you get 10 sometimes. xD
ION Cannon personally reminds me of the Spartan Laser in the Halo series. I giggle inside one shotting almost everything in the game. The developers had to have known what they were doing. They made it a guaranteed drop even. At least that's what I'm telling myself to comfort my concerns of a nerf. LOL
Yes, with the Recursion I'm using the same bug as Amara, with 3 bonus elements instead of 4 like Amara can do. We have Megavore though so its a toss up for which one is theoretically better.
As for balancing the game. I completely agree and would go further even probably. I would give every character damage debuffs applied to enemies through action skill into their skill tree like "Laid Bare" for Amara. Make weapon annointments more directly comparable and I'd also probably release the damage equation so everyone can theorycraft a lot easier.
