Hey guys, if you need to solve controller aim bug, just go into steam controller settings and on your left botton set it on right click on a mouse, than choose your customized settings..and you can enjoy a new view to a game
This guy is right. Go to Steam Controller and then to 'Triggers'. Change both triggers per my recommendation.
Left Trigger: Right Mouse Button Right Trigger: Left Mouse Button
Once you have done that, you may notice that the aim mechanism changes. Pressing LT/RMB will snap you into first person aim mode! This actually makes aiming way better. Also, by aiming down sights, you can resolve minor bugs with opening chests etc.
So remember, if you're facing issues, press LT to go into first person aim mode, then shoot/interact with objects. Hope this helps!
Mod works as intended, however since I use texmod, I'd prefer using the console unlock and console commands for third person.
As for the infamous misfiring, I don't think there will ever be a fix for it. Camera adjustments or edits do not fix it. I've been constantly testing it for a few hours (Specifically in liars berg), and the misfiring seems to be happening in specific locations of the map. (If you are outside the gate claptrap opens when you first enter the small town, shooting at the bandits will always misfire, even if you get really close to them. Theres small spots where the misfiring doesn't occur. Also, theres a zone if you back away from the gate toward where the knuckledragger area is that allows your guns to work properly again.) So depending on what map you are on and where you are, your guns will misfire or fire in random directions. And since it seems to be a map issue, it would probably be difficult to make a mod fix for it. Hopefully by some miracle someone is able to find a workaround or a fix for it.
I will gift some one a 60$ steam game if you can get this mode to work for controllers for me!!! I cannot for the life of me figure it out and I no longer have the time T^T!!! The game goes to the first person that gets me the fking fix!!! Seriously though Ill gift you the game you want just fix this damn mod for me .-.
Don´t know if you already figured it out but IF you have a ps4 controller, you can use the steam controller configuration and assign G to the touchpad click, you still need to run cheat engine and all that but you can switch between FPS and TPS modes like that.
If you use another controller, try to find an unused button and assign G to that, l personally think that the quick weapon swap button (triangle/y) is useless so I´d replace it with g if l had no other option.
Although this method did work, i managed to swap G for the PS button, worked like a treat. When you go into ADS, everything is off.. unlike when you ADS with the mouse it corrects it for you, it doesn't do this with a controller unfortunately. Which kind of sucks as this is a mod that would be amazing! :)
No I NEED to have it working with an xbox controller. Xpadder doesn't work for me because for so reason both the controller and the simulated mouse get detected :(
Is there any way to rebind the 3rd person on/off toggle key? G has always been my grenade button for all BL games, and while rebinding that action to another button won't kill me, it's a little hard to get used to after over 1000 hours.
I read in an earlier post to change line 47 of the script, which is "push 'G' //key G, change to 0x74 for key F5"
I've tried editing it to these 8 options: push 'G' //key F5 push 'F5' //key G push 'F5' //key F5 push 'F5' //key 0x74 push 'F5' //0x74 push '0x74' //key 0x74 push '0x74' //key F5 push '0x74' //0x74
None of these work. After editing it, neither G nor F5 switches to 3rd person. I've edited it in the "Change script" option while running cheat engine, and I also edited the original file using notepad. What am I missing?
