does this mod require all the dlc? i've tried multiple times to install it with the same crash as soon as i try to execute the patch file at the main menu.

    10/10 mod.
Covers every item in the game and DLC perfectly. Now I don't have to tab out and check every gun I get.

You're the absolute best. Love this mod.

I am just beginning to start playing and possibly mod BL2. Was debating if i want to install UCP or not, but i REALLY like what you've done here. Could you help clarify a couple things for me?
1.) In your description you wrote: "Vanilla description pieces left out if overwritten by Community patch changes." - so in all these instances, is that there where you have added grey text which explains UCP changes? Would it be safe to assume that if you didn't add grey text (patch changes) to the item cards, then the weapon wasn't changed by the UCP mod?
2.) Could i also use this with Part Notifier?
    Thanks

Glad you like the mod! (And sorry for the late reply.) For your questions though:
      1. Say a weapon in vanilla has reduced accuracy, and UCP removes that penalty, then I only have the patch description of it being removed instead of repeating something that's already removed anyway
      2. Not sure if you could actually, mainly from the fact that there just isn't enough space on the item card.

Thanks for the response. I ended up learning a bit how things work and was more or less able to figure your process of choosing what to write on items. Since i have most of the UCP buffs disabled, i actually ended up editing the descriptions to match my setup, which took me a while for just a small percentage of what you did. And even then, i had your "statements?" to work off of. Looks like this mod you made took a lot of time, so thanks again!

I also installed part notifier to see if they work together, but was about level 3 with not really any red text items (or none at all), so couldn't compare much to see if there was enough room. But i didn't like how the part notifier mod removes text from the items cards that explain part effects, (for example: "Sustained fire increases accuracy") for Hyperion gun/part. So disabled the mod. Maybe will install again later once i am familiar with what all parts do on certain weapons without needing to look online.

I wasn't planning on making a TPS version, but Apocalyptech over on the BLCMods Github made already has explainer for Pre-Sequel that you can find here: https://github.com/BLCM/BLCMods/tree/master/Pre%20Sequel%20Mods/Apocalyptech/TPS%20Red%20Text%20Explainer

Why does Heartbreaker indicate that it cannot be edited and saved?

With the way BLCMM automatically saves text, the word 'set' in the Heartbreaker's description will make it save incorrectly. It can still be edited by opening the file in another text editor and modifying it there.

It says that using HexEdit is an option rather than using the Mod Manager, but I'm having a trouble patching it using a HexEdit. How do I go about adding this to my community patch via hex edit?

Alternatively, is the Mod Manager now working with Commander Lilith DLC so I can use that instead?

I'm not completely sure the hex editing in the Mod Manager is updated. With that being said, using the HexEdit tool would only just be for enabling mods (console and whatever else), not for actually managing them. You'd use the Mod Manager afterwards for modifying it and whatever else. So yeah, you can (and could before) use the Mod Manager without any issues, but again, only for the actual mod managing.

I managed to get it working! Thank you for such a helpful mod!

One question, do you intend to update this for UCP 5.0 and the Commander Lilith DLC, even with Borderlands 3 being so close?

I actually added UCP 5.0's changes (among other things, if you want to read the changelog) in version 1.3! I haven't done Commander Lilith's items yet, though I do plan on adding them at some point, even with BL3 coming soon.

The repeated "possible" in the description, right? I added a fix into version 1.2.2. Please let me know about anything else that needs fixing!

Will this handle red text on Reborn's items?

No, And reborn already have red text explainer included on the part notifier (:

This was made to be used with the Community Patch, so even if it did effect the text on BL2 Reborn's items, any extra notes about Community Patch changes might not always apply. I'd recommend going over to Ezeith's BL2 Reborn Part Notifier for that, it shows the item parts and gives explanations.
