    Reading through the posts here, I know that you've retired from modding, but would it be possible to make a more in-depth guide on making hybrids? I'd like to expand a bit (and personally address the lack of the Infinity Stalker listed) on this mod without trying to spaghetti code my way through

      There really isn't any more depth to get into than what I already explained in the file. It really does just boil down to making item A capable of spawning the legendary part and move some stats/behaviors to the material of the item that the legendary part can now spawn on. If you're that dead-set on it you might try shadowevil's discord for modding assistance.

      As for the Stalker Infinity specifically, I suspect I simply forgot to remove it from the list after determining I couldn't make the shots ricochet without keeping the Stalker barrel.

    Anyone know if this is compatible with double accessories and accessories +?  Kinda hard for me to test. It’d be really cool to mix all that together

      As long as those mods don't touch the barrel slot on guns, it should theoretically be fine.

      Ok gotcha.  Is it also intended that transformer and fabled tortoise are like a strange purple shade rarity?

      Gonna preface this by saying I haven't modded BL2 in over half a decade and am retired from it, so if you want the nitty-gritty on probabilities you'd be best off going to shadowevil's modding discord and asking. Changing DefaultWeightIndex=1 to 0 is probably the right call after looking at a few other hybrids and I'll update the file with that.

      Yes I initially did the same thing but eventually I ended up learning how it works with some help.  It used the default array caid values.  I wanted roughly 1/10 so I changed to 6.  Works pretty well. But yes 1 would give it the 1 weight as opposed to the 0 giving 100 weight making it 1/2 chance I think? 

      however sadly I was testing the thunderball fist evie and I don’t think it shares the quality of having action skill cooldown rate on kills.  Kinda making it feel pointless.  Unless my testing with cooldown rate shower mod is not correct and I cant see it myself by eye well enough. 

      edit: 100% little evie reduces cooldown but hybrid does not basically making it not hybrid.  Sad :(

      Use the Borderlands Community Mod Manager for easy managing of txt mods like BL2Hybrids.

    So if a legendary hybrids with a seraph, would you farm the seraph to get the hybrid? Is it the same thing for pearls?  From what I read it seems that you don't really farm the legendary, but the other weapon it hybrids with. And last question, when a legendary hybrids with another legendary, which one do you farm for? Sorry if this is a really obvious answer, I just don't want to farm the wrong gun for hours not knowing if I'm getting unlucky with the drop, or if I'm farming the wrong gun.

      Generally speaking you want to farm the non-legendary item for the hybrid, unless both are legendary in which case you usually farm the DLC legendary. The Sham and Transformer can both be farmed for the hybrid, while the Sponge can potentially spawn with both parts from the Sham and Transformer for a double (triple?) hybrid.

      ah that makes sense. I didn't know about the sponge spawning with parts from two other shields, that's pretty cool. Thanks for making this awesome mod. I always loved the concept of hybrids from bl1. I'm gonna try to be that 1 psychopath who farms for all the hybrids that can drop with your mod. Thanks for answering my questions as well!

    So am I understanding this mod correctly? If i for example want to farm for Evil smasher kerblaster will killing the midgemong be the best way to do that? if not is it still possible to get it from him?

      Other way around. The legendary part spawns on a non-legendary piece of gear (with a few exceptions), so farm the Evil Smasher.

      is it possible to switch so i have to farm the legendaries instead cause it sounds more fun to kill bosses to get the loot to drop?

      Maybe if i just switch the code? I found the code for kerblaster so if i just put that in for evilsmasher code? Would that work? just like that? and leave everything else untouched

      Wouldn't work as you hope. The way it is in the file allows the Evil Smasher's effect to work with the Kerblaster's projectiles (the Kerblaster's barrel spawns on the Evil Smasher while the Evil Smasher's effect was able to be moved to the skin of the gun.) If it were the other way around it wouldn't have the Kerblaster's projectiles any more (the projectiles of the Kerblaster are tied to the barrel and can't be moved.) And I'm pretty sure the Unofficial Community Patch adds the Evil Smasher to a boss if you'd want to farm it that way.

    Would something like a bearcat scorpio be possible?

    Also it seems like there can be some uniques that are negatively affected by the hybrid system, like the stinkpot/hammerbuster losing splash damage. Would that be fixed by moving the unique hammer buster property somewhere else?

      Bearcat Scorpio could be done if you wanted to, just put the Bearcat barrel on the Scorpio and move some of the Scorpio's stats to the material. As for the Stinkpot Hammer Buster, it'd be fixed if instead the Stinkpot barrel was put on the Hammer Buster, but I wanted to keep to the Borderlands 1 precedent of a legendary part usually spawning on a unique/pearl/etc. rarity item for Hybrids.

    So I've gotta say, this mod goes well with BL2Fix as you can reroll the quest rewards for eridium until you get the hybrid you're looking for on some occasions. Love the Conference Call/1340. Thank you for making this mod! 

    Have one question. I read that you farm the unique to get the hybrid however what if 2 legendaries hybridify like the Conference Call/Overcompensator or Kerblaster/Ogre? Can I get the hybrid from either drop source?

      Generally speaking the regular, base game legendaries are never the target of hybridization (outside of the Sham/Transformer). So you'd farm the Overcompensator or Ogre.

    Is it safe to disable the 'barrel', and 'material' options? Cause I don't want changes to the guns as to how they function when they're not a hybrid

      Those are responsible for the bulk of the stat changes between the regular and hybrid versions, if you did disable that the hybrids would be pointless. All I did was transfer a part of the stats from the barrel or shield part of the item to the material, they should still effectively have the same stats as they would otherwise unless a mod replaces the item in question.

    Yo, I have a question - how to get smth like, for example, Pitchfork/Sloth hybrid? Do you get it from the side-quest or by dripping the gun? I'm asking, because when handing over Rakkaholics Anonymous I get Sloth with the hybrid skin every time. The Sloth fires exactly the same way as normal one, not anything close to Pitchfork.

      Whatever method you have to farm the unique item. It's a small chance for it to actually be a Hybrid.
