Also, please comment on the Steam Guide, the Nexus doesn't give me any notifications for this page. Just get the Steam link from the mod description, and copy and paste it into the address bar. Thank you.
Edit, March 2021: We just hit 20,000 total downloads! This is really awesome to see, thanks everyone for all the support!
Edit, August 2021: We've hit over 100,000 total views, and we're almost at 40,000 total downloads, with 500 Endorsements! Really cool to see, I hope you're all still enjoying the file, and that it's still working. (Bought a new computer, and the CPU isn't really built for BONEWORKS for some reason, so updates have currently been ceased, most likely forever.) I really enjoyed having this save be a big part of last year for me. It was a cause of a lot of stress at times, but once I got through it, obviously, all I can remember are the good times. I'm sure to someone just glancing at this comments section for whatever reason and having this catch their eye must be weird. I guess I'm just feeling melancholy right now. (I haven't slept in a couple days, so.... little bit loopy.) But in any case, I hope you all enjoyed the ride as much as I did!
Edit, March 2022: I'm not entirely sure when, but we're now at over 1k endorsements! Thanks so much for all the support on the file, I hope that you feel that it's mutual, I've been a lot worse at responding on here, having never really needed to constantly check for comments on here. For anyone still having problems with the file, please ask about it either on the videos comment section, or on the Steam guides comment section, both of those places are where I am daily, and I'll be sure to respond to you as soon as I see it. Again, thank you all very much, 1k endorsements is really cool to see.
An update on the Nexus page for all of you wondering, as well as my thoughts on certain Dev save related topics: As of August 20th, 2020: This page is kinda dead. I'm not really checking it out too much, nowadays, as I got quite burned out with the stress of both the very much alleged banning of the dev save and the newest updates. Obviously, I'd take the file down the moment I got word DIRECTLY from the devs, and not someone who has a similar file to me who's motive on informing me of the files status is suspect. But I won't talk about that. I also won't be updating this mod, especially if what some are saying about the devs banning these files, (Although the devs have had plenty of time to notice and notify me, [4 MONTHS!!] so I very much doubt it. As well as the apparent reasons for the files "banning" being suspect, one that I've heard being about the file containing items considered "spoilers" by the devs, of which there are none. It's only debug items and items that are in the regular game but not the sandbox, such as breakable planks and crates. I see no spoilers there. But anyway, I'm losing the main subject...) is true. I hope you enjoy the files as they are, and that you continue to share with others how you're enjoying them. If you really need to get my attention, comment on either the video or the steam guide, the links to both are somewhere on this page. Thank you very much for your support, and I hope you have as nice a 2020 as you can.
Just make sure you're completely deleting the original folder, then dragging my folder where it was. Also make sure you've got Steam cloud saves turned off, so that once you've played a bit with my file, once you turn Cloud saves back on, it'll register my file as your own.
hey man, when I go into the boneworks tab after stress level zero in locallow, theres a yellow boneworks file, and a whole bunch of random white ones. Which ones do I get rid of
From what you're saying here, it sounds like at some point a BONEWORKS folder might've got put inside the original BONEWORKS folder. Basically, what it should look like from Locallow is Stress Level Zero, then once you open that, you should see the original BONEWORKS folder. Then, if want to open that, it should have a folder in there titled 'Unity', and a bunch of white folders below it. All of that is meant to be there, so you don't have to delete any of it. But, if there's another BONEWORKS folder inside the original one, you can delete that one if you want to, but you don't really have to, it shouldn't mess with anything.
Only just seen this comment here on the Nexus, but I think I've replied to it on Youtube, so hopefully you've fixed your problem. Just replying to make sure, but don't worry about asking if you still haven't got it working.
Hm... I've never heard of something like that, the only thing I can think of is instead of downloading the file, your browser somehow downloaded the link or something like that. I would just say try downloading the file again, making sure you just left-click on the manual download button. Hopefully that helps it, but if it does it again, I'm not entirely sure what could be causing that, but it might be on your end somehow, sorry to say.
I think this file should work on the Oculus store version. I've got a comment pinned at the top of this comment section (should be the one that isn't written by me, and it's possibly the one that's right above your comment, at least it is for me) that talks about how to install the file for the Oculus store version. Hope it helps.
I have tried to use this over and over but for some reason it just will not work. I have now gave up with this, any help on why this is not working. I have also tried two videos for it.
If you can give any more info on what's going wrong, I might be able to help a bit more. If you're following all the steps on installing it, but it doesn't seem like it's giving you the file, what usually works is turning off Cloud Saves on Steam in the settings, then installing the file, and then, if you want to, turning Cloud Saves back on. That just makes it so that Steam doesn't overwrite the save with your original save.
PLEASE SOMEONE HELP ME!!!! So i bought this game yesterday and tried to download and add the save folder to the game , i followed every step , i deleted all the things in the boneworks folder , even from the recyicle bin and then added the 100% save to the boneworks folder. When i enter the game i see for a second all the sandbox level in the left but then they dissapear. What should i do i can't refund the game anymore and i don't have the patience and time to unlock everything????
Something to try is turning off the steam cloud saves, I've been told that helps. I'm not entirely sure how to do it myself, but I'm sure it's quite easy to find an answer for it on Google. Once you've done that, reinstall the save, play for a bit, then re-enable cloud saves, if you want them. That should set the file in stone as your own file. If that doesn't work, don't worry about asking for more help.
I would agree with Mr. Halo, WinRAR is pretty useful outside of just games and mods. The link I have in the tutorial videos description should be the official one, I haven't had any reports otherwise. It should be safe for you to download from there.
Just check some other hard drives you may have in the same place I showed in the video. If you don't have any Appdata folders there either, just make sure you've made some of your own progress in BONEWORKS, so that you have your own save file. Sorry for the late reply.
I just uploaded the newest version of the file, hopefully it'll be more stable, (it was for me when I was playing it) but if not, please tell me, I'll try and figure something else out, but try not to get your hopes up, eventually mods just end up deteriorating in quality until eventually they just don't work anymore, and it might be coming close to that now.
