I cant install reshade when i selected rayne1.exe reshade setup is stuck on analyzing executable. Edit: So i found way to make it work but it looks like every pre-rendered cutscene cause black screen if reshade is enabled. Edit2: Ok everything works fine now i i replaced D3D8toD3D9 with DGVodoo and reinstalled reshade with DX10, DX11 and DX12 option and this fixed all issues.
I did as you said, but whenever I run Reshade, it shows a message saying that I have to download the .dll d3d8to9. I already did that, downloaded it and still the warning still appears. And even when I run the game I didn't see any difference. I've never installed Reshade before, help me. :)
I understand, my game is Steam, and whenever I open Reshade I get the message that I need to download the d3d8to9 .dll. But in the files of the original game there is a .dll d3d8to9, they are the same .dll, the difference is only in size. Anyway I tested the DirectX9 version on the reshade and it worked, I just don't understand why on 10/11/12 it didn't work :(
It makes no visual difference weather Reshade is using directx9 or 11 or 12. It is just the api that Reshade hooks into and for this game the api is DX9 so this is how it's supposed to work.
d3d8to9 is a translation tool used for compatibility in old games running on modern hardware. As the name says it translates DX8 into DX9 so you are using the correct setting when you choose Directx9 in Reshade.
I need help. The new update (September 3) added some controller UI and now I can't use the Reshade even if you rename d3d8.dll to d3d8back.dll using the file from crosie website.
Thanks to Freezlock for the preset, and kudos to ZDemon66 for the instructions.
Tip: You need most or all of the "sweetFx" install package enabled, as well as the "Color effects by prod80" package during the reshade setup, if you want the game to look like it does in the images. I disabled the sweetfx FXAA and SMAA, because I was using the game's native 4xAA.
If you can't read the font in the reshade overlay while the game is running, try setting the game's AA to 1x in the game launcher, until you're able get the preset loaded and working as you like , then switch back to the 4xAA game launcher setting.
When I try to set it up with the wrapper i still get 'this game does not use direct3d9'. Can you show with a video or gif how to set this up? I cannot get it to work through the direct 3d 10 method below either.

Just rename the original d3d8.dll to d3d8back.dll and put the new one in the game's main folder.
2; You need to use a tool named ReShade. https://reshade.me/
Download and run it. Select "BloodRayne", select "Direct3D 10/11/12" select "Color effects by prod80" during installation.
3; When the installation completed, select "Edit ReShade settings", select "Present" and select "Nice Bloodrayne preset.ini" then OK.
Then run the game, and have fun. =)
Otherwise Zdemon's quide is good.
