I got and idea, to make a helmet couldn't you just make a invisible part to grab, so when it goes on your back it's the perfect length and direction to be on your head.
Oooooh thats a problem, but you could make different sized versions. Also this idea could work for chest plates, floating knives around your body, a cloud under you, mustaches and much more.
To make helmets why don't you get the model and then make it so the holder point on your right or left shoulder is off centre, so that when the item is on your shoulder, the helmet would be on your head
actually there is that one baron hat in the game so ther is a snap point on the head
for example if you use the assassin outfit reach for the heat you get the option to grab something thats the hood. you can also put it back on. (please excuse me for all my typing mistakes)

Cause anytime I add a merge spell my gravity merge stops working. Like I can only have one. Let me know if anyone knows how to get around that
