Are you constantly running into your enemies because you raise your hand while moving forward? No more with the Better Running mod! This mod adds a few different ways to sprint.
- Default: This is the default sprinting behaviour and is based on your hands up and down movement.
- No sprinting: This disables sprinting completely.
- Double-tap forward. This allows you to sprint by quickly moving the movement thumbstick forward twice (think double W in Minecraft).
- Head-bounce: This is based on your heads up and down movement. Sounds weird but is actually my favourite. Give it a try!
- Auto-Sprint: This makes you always sprint.
- Button: Click the movement thumbstick to sprint.
- Incremental: Start sprinting incrementally faster when movement thumbstick is pushed more than 50% forward.
- Naruto: Run like Naruto!
- Default plus: behaves like default but reduces false positives
NOTE to modders: The Nomad version doesn't raise the OnSprintEvent due to scripting limitations.
Installation
Requires Scripting Beta. Can be installed like any other mod.
Once installed open the mod settings and enable one or more of the different modes.
NOTE: By default, the mode "default plus" and two-handed running will be enabled.
Configuration
You can configure the mod in the mod settings
"overrideDefault": Disables the default running behaviour (default true)
"enableTwoHandedRunning": Enables running while holding an item with two hands (default true)
"noSprinting": Disables sprinting all together (default false)
"doubleTapForward": Enables running by double tapping forward (default false)
"headBounce": Enables running by bouncing head up and down (default false)
"headBounceSensitivity": Determines how sensitive the head bounce is (default 10.0)
"autoSprint": Enables sprinting all the time (default false)
"button": Enables running by clicking left thumbstick in (default false)
"incremental": Enables running by moving movement stick incrementally forward (default false)
"narutoRun": Enables running by keeping your hands behind your back (default false)
"defaultPlus": Enables running by swinging your arms in opposing directions (default true)
"swingGrace": Determines how sensitive it is to not swinging anymore (default 0.1)
