Yep there is an issue with the new version of the Halo pack that I still need to investigate. In the meantime, you can utilize the previous version of the Halo pack and it should work.
hey man, love your mod, but im having the same issue. should i use the 2.1 version instead of the 2.2 version of the halo mod or an even older variation?
I'm not 100% sure which update broke the functionality. I'd say starting back to the original Version 1.1 that was released back on January 8th is the safest bet.
well, sone chars are still bugged but at least i van grab them into a killable state. idk why but even with the reset signs nothing seems to be improving in terms of performance. It's truly a painful experience on a 4070TI and 10900K Intel CPU. I could also I have way too much stuff open too. I did find the pistol and the revolver just hanging around, but the M56D pistol I also found doesn't seem to come with ammo. I Also, infinite loading screen for the mall map specifically right now.
Damn, I tried getting a recording of it, but Blade & Sorcery seems to have a tendency to make my recording software record literally anything else except for the window itself.
Okay, so I have fixed the performance issues *for the most part* due to it being my own dumbass fault. I was not activating the signs correctly apparently, and now I know how to. Is there any way to check the progress of the hidden weapons I've obtained in-game?
You can check the Articles tab of this mod page to see the list of hidden weapons! I'm considering doing a separate Article with hints to each weapon, but don't have it ready quite yet.
2 things I personally dislike with this pack: 1. A lot of the enemies spawn with this full "Military style body armor" It's basically equivalent to full plate armor except for a tiny portion of the faceplate (Smaller than what it looks like) and negates ALL blunt and pierce damage. Seriously, the only thing that kills these guys is bashing their faces into the concrete repeatedly or shooting them direct in the mouth with a Carbine. 2. No actual "Modern" Firearms were found in the couple hours I've been experimenting. Just Halo Plasma Grenades (Which are also extremely good against the military armor guys), Carbines, and plasma pistols. I dislike this because, the carbines are currently one of the best weapons in the game. If I find a carbine, I will forgo any other weapon, but the only thing that sucks about these have no actual sights, and a little whacky when it comes to ejecting the ammo.
One bug I've found: Despite there being an update to the halo pack, there are still enemies that spawn with no armor, no weapons, and cannot be killed.
Thanks for sharing. I have indeed hidden the revolver, pistol and SMG from the modern firearms framework in the city, but I will admit, I've hidden them well. Here's a few hints to them:
Pistol: Look in a back alley near a concrete wall on the edge of the city
Revolver: look inside a very dark indoor area heavily guarded by NPCs. And don't forget your flashlight!
SMG: look in the clothing store at the mall! To find the mall, look for the entrance near a large concrete courtyard.
As for the armored enemies, I decided to make certain NPCs extra challenge, and it appears Ghettos's armor pack makes them particularly resilient. I'm probably going to keep it for now, but thanks for sharing.
Finally, good call on the Halo pack. I have not checked my mod against the most recent update of the Halo pack from this past week, so it's likely something broke it. Will check and fix soon.
Update: I just tested the mod with the latest update of the Halo pack and it still works well for me, and all enemy types are functional. So I advise confirming you have the latest update of Halo weapon pack installed.
Also, I'd like to add - if you're looking for an easy-to-access firearm, you can find the Halo plasma pistol at the shack in the central park area that is close to the exit of your home. That should be the easiest to unlock, and give you quick access to a firearm.
Oh it's not that I'm concerned about *getting* a weapon* I can clear about 30-40 people before I go down and most of the time the first one I kill starts with a carbine. It's that *keeping* a loaded weapon can be difficult. But that's okay.
I'll let you know when I update INAW whether or not I still have problems with the ghost enemies.
Yeah, getting the carbine from enemies is one finite way to get a firearm. The firearms I'm referring to are the infinite ammo firearms that are official hidden weapons in the world. These are the ones that will respawn in your apartment after you find them.
Aaaand there's a new update of INAW today that I can't test until this weekend. Let me know if it causes any issues and I'll fix them.
Yes, it uses the GM_BigCity map as the environment! I've found it to be the best-performing large city environment presently available for B&S, with lots of back alleys and hidden areas that make things interesting for hidden items and exploration. 🙌
No worries! The last update wasn't too bad - just an update of the lootable stuff in the creature containers. Thanks for making the awesome mod, and making firearm NPCs so much fun!
having a problem loading in. wrench and everything spawns. music is there. when i click to leave the apartmen door i get an infinite loading screen. due to this here error: ERROR T.L.<LoadLevelCoroutine>d__12.MoveNext : Scene location not found for level GM_BigCity
i also get a bunch of errors from the halo mod. saw another comment on it so i will try to download an older version of it
if anybody has a problem with not finding the wrench. go to your documents folder > my games > blade and sorcery > saves > default. then delete everything it will delete all your character saves. that whats fied it for me
EDIT1: just checked through my mods folder and saw i did not have gm_bigcity in it, i forgot to put it in my mods folder after download. *facepalm*
Ok great to hear you found a fix! Yeah, I'm still investigating the Halo update issue. I have had to send my headset in for a replacement, and I'm waiting on it to return, so I can troubleshoot the mod from there.

Enjoy!

Not sure about your CPU, but your GPU is way above my 3080 which also works great.
For the mall inf load, that seems to indicate The Mall mod has not been installed correctly. Try re-installing / re-downloading The Mall.
