I hear you. You want to be able to download the mod using the in-game mod manager. The reason I haven't uploaded to mod.io until now is that for every download on Nexus I get a small donation from Nexus. So I have decided to make the mods available on mod.io to people who downloaded the mod on Nexus, that way I still get my points and you get the convenience to have the access in-game. HOW TO: Step 1: Download the mod on Nexus (feel free to delete it afterwards) Step 2: Add a comment listing your mod.io user name (Yes this means you have to have the account linked on your headset) Step 3: Wait till you get the email titled "HuJohner has invited you to preview their mods!" Step 4: Click on the link and subscribe! Step 5: Open the game in your headset and go to the mods section. You should see the mod auto download
EDIT: If you have skipped the email in the headset you can't use this unfortunately. Unless you contact mod.io support maybe they can help
Firstly, this mod is fun as all hell and i think is now a permanent addition to my setup alongside to tools of the trade. I feel like a rogue gone wizard with options here. bomb arrows are crazy fun as it takes a second after setting in for them to get blown up and I've even used that as a trap to miss intentionally just so the bomb ends up at their feet. been trying to get good at using the rope arrow and swinging under bridges to escape enemies haha. I think that might be my favorite arrow type. there is something really engaging and enjoyable about shooting a grapple into the celling to cross a gap. add that to then being able to use that same rope to string up an unsuspecting enemy while you do a superhero landing? now thats magic.
I've had a small issue where I cant imbue the arrows once they are in the bow like vanilla (so i can heat up each kind of arrow and stick them into EVERYTHING) I have some mods installed next to it some im trying some configurations alongside asking here if thats normal.
I also had an idea, not sure if this is possible but wanted to suggest in case you think its cool too. when using the bomb arrow, after putting it into the bow, what if pressing trigger on your bow hand toggled the arrow into impact mode? so you can quickly change between using the timer & non-timer function mid combat.
I'm glad you enjoy the mod :) 1) The issue with imbue is related to the bow. I have been trying to fix this for a while. I think it is due to the fact that you can imbue the brass parts of the bow and it is interfering with imbuing arrows but I am not sure. 2) I like the idea of switching to impact mode! Just not sure how the UX would look like so it is obvious what mode you are in
thank you for replying! 1) thought that might be related. noticed how they brass lit up a couple times and wondered if it meant it automatically made arrows in the quiver imbued or if it was just catching instead. 1) I would say add a ring light (so players can see if from left or right hand) to the bomb arrow that switches color depending on mode, preceded perhaps by an audio cue.
1) I think I found a fix. The brass parts were all individually imbuable parts and it seems when too many things are imbued at the same time it doesn't work. I combined them to one now so hopefully that should fix it. 2) Hm a blue/red light might be an idea
Just added impact mode! By default the arrow will be in the normal mode denoted by a blue "LED". Upon pressing the trigger with the hand holding the arrow the "LED" will turn red and the arrow will beep to confirm the mode switch
just tried impact mode! It's awesome being able to change tactics on the fly! there's a map I often use with a great, stone bridge where enemies often appear on both sides. I've had so much fun being able to choose when and how to deal with them in a new way. such as if two people are approaching I'll attach a bomb to at least one of them in timed mode so I can deal with the other via melee. then on the fly switch right back to blowing up another thats getting too close using impact. thank you so much for adding this feature! I love it!
This is my favorite mod in blade and sorcery I would love to be able to edit this mod and the recurved bow mod so I can make other arrows and make a better experience for myself and also to learn how to work on a mod for blade and sorcery if I could please get access to this mod
noticed that when i hold the retract button for the rope arrow, it brings the spell wheel up. not a huge issue, just gets in the way of that Oliver queen immersion haha. You've set such a high standard for yourself haha. Also is there way to make the velocity of the arrows a bit faster?
