    the mod broke when I "Retried" the level. I did pretty much everything except for reset the game

      Quest framework is pretty buggy when it comes to retying failed quests. My usual method of resetting them is deleting the quest saves file, but if you have other quest data you want to keep, you're going to have to look pretty hard to delete the individual quest.
