If the mod is log heavy yes, the default logging API provided by unity is pretty slow. The intention mostly for this is to make debugging easier and to make users lives easier as well, you can simply send the generated log file for X mod to the author and they won't have to civ through all the data in the Player.log, instead they get logs specific to their mod and nothing else.
Nah, it's still there. The only real bug I have with BASLogger active is that when I die, I become the crystal and have to use the pause menu to respawn; not sure if the error message and this phenomena are related though.

1. Like any other mod, put it in StreamingAssets\Mods...
*Error: Assembly - Exception during ThunderScript ScriptLoaded
File path: D:/Oculus Games/Software/warpfrog-blade-sorcery/BladeAndSorcery_Data/StreamingAssests/Mods/BASLogs
I just loaded up a fresh save with only The Outer Rim to resolve a different issue. How do I resolve this one?
- Download the latest version of BASLogger from a trusted source.
- Extract the contents of the downloaded file to a new folder.
- Open the Blade and Sorcery game folder (usually located in Steam/steamapps/common/Blade and Sorcery).
- Open the "BladeAndSorcery_Data" folder.
- Create a new folder inside "BladeAndSorcery_Data" and name it "StreamingAssets" (if it doesn't exist already).
- Move the BASLogger folder into the "StreamingAssets" folder.
- Launch Blade and Sorcery and start a new game.
dont put the BASlogger in the mods when u ope nthe game press f5and i have stared a new game as well
