Good mod although when i enabled disable modifiers for both kick and punch, it did not seem to disable it. Either im stupid or it doesnt work since like Breadd4 said it mightve been i didnt reopen the game. Ill leave a reply in the replies if i fixed it or couldnt. EDIT: I forgot to mention but also kicks (In sandbox mode with all upgrades.) seems to send them the same distance or maybe even further, i say seem to since i dont got a full comparison recording yet, but it still knocks them down in 1 hit and sends them out of the map. No i dont have any mods increasing my kick damage, as every other mod is either outdated or doesnt do anything regarding punch/kick dmg. And also sometimes while in slow motion, if u punch correctly (Punching and just right when ur hand reaches the enemy dead stop it, thats what i ment by correctly as for some reason, doing that in u12 or u1.0 just makes them fly, even more so in u12. You can try it yourself although it might not work with u since well, maybe its just my game or a mod, i have absoluely no idea.) same thing happens if you smack them with the underside of your fist, it just sends them flying halfway across the map still like it did before. Oh and sorry for maybe makin it to long or confusing to read tbh id be suprised if u can read it all since its so long.
Based on the most popular version, LightKD: Addforce is 30, or about a third of default addForceMode is impulse min Velocity is about doubled, maybe a little more Damage is about the same, so 1.0
Anybody else have issues when changing the stats? For instance, I put the min velocity lower and punch force a little higher and all of a sudden people get launched all the way to the moon with just a tap on the shoulder. Also, sometimes reloading the level isn't enough to apply the settings and I have to relaunch the whole game. Could it be that the mod is conflicting with the adjustable strength and speed mod that I have installed?
It could be adjustable strength and speed, but from what i've seen it doesn't cover the same options as here so it should be fine. as for the launching, it might be the expected result, based on how low you set the min velocity multiplier. there are 3 (or 4) levels of force for punches, and most blunt damagers. the first level is a small knockback, then a bigger knockback, then the knockdown/flying away. The min velocity multiplier changes the threshold for all of those, so if you set the threshold anything lower than 1, most hits will be those final levels of force, and then of course the punch force value itself kicks in and sends them even further.
as for the settings not applying, are you applying and then reloading/changing the level? I haven't found a way to update them live so I've had to make it so they only change on level reloads. If the reload won't work then it might be the adjustable strength and speed, but like I said, I'm not sure those overlap.
EDIT: Does adjustable strength and speed let you make your hands move faster? In that case that's likely the reason enemies go flying. To make that happen less you'll probably want to raise the min velocity multiplier a bit.
is there a way to make actually doing a punch easier sort of like u12 where if you literally touch them it counts as a punch, this mod is cool but I just find it a bit like you need to try very hard to just do some damage to them whereas u12 flicking them does damage.
In theory, lowering the minimum velocity multiplier should do that. But there is a value "MinVelocity" in the Damage Modifier that isn't being affected by the mod, which might prevent that from working as you wanted. You could make a copy of the (original) punch damage modifier json, put it in this mod, and change the minVelocity values, in order to get your desired results
Not really a link, but I can explain how to get it. in the installation folder, go to BladeAndSorcery_Data > StreamingAssets > Default, and there should be a file called bas.jsondb (might just be bas if you don't have file extensions visible). Copy this file to your desktop or somewhere. If you rename this file to bas.zip instead of jsondb, you should be able to extract and open it and see all the basegame jsons inside. The punch damagemodifier will be in the DamageModifiers folder. It's possible you may need to enable file extension visibility in order to change the .jsondb part, though.
You could also just make a copy of the savedPunch modifier from this mod and change the ID to 'Punch' and make your changes there.
Tysm, btw u dont have to do this but if possible it would not be a bad idea to make that a setting in the mods section of the book, as not everyone is great with computers. Besides that though I will be sure to try this out as I just did that.
The truth is I hadn't considered adding that setting until now, since most people are using this mod to make punches weaker. It also just never crossed my mind. If more people need this option it should be pretty easy to add it, but I didn't want to update the mod for 1 thing for 1 person (also because I'm lazy).
