The map is broken for me. When I go the board, the market map is selected and the description says "mod description couldnt be put here. keep it along the lines bla bla bla?" or something like that
This map is really cool and absolutely adore the atmosphere/design of the place! The screenshots don't do it justice, it's a fun enviroment to explore. I especially love the tower with the statues, really cool. A bit of Castlevania music really helps set the mood, too.
I must say though, the AI (and me, to a degree) had a hard time pathfinding around all the clutter and stairs. They mostly were standing there waiting for me to come slaughter them since they couldn't get to me. I don't know exactly how to fix this, but maybe removing collision on things like the rubble and smaller decorations might help while preserving the aesthetic? Also the wave spawning book in the throne room didn't work at all for me, but I do have a lot of mods so this isn't necessarily your problem. Just figured I'd mention it!
Overall, great map and a wonderful proof-of-concept for other dungeon maps. Can't wait to see what else you put out!
I experienced pretty much everything you did, and I'd like to add that getting to the end doesn't take you back to the home map like it does with the vanilla dungeon, which's pretty disappointing; it's even more disappointing to know that's not gonna change anytime soon.
Thank you for listening to everyone's issues and suggestions and immediately responding and queuing fixes. It's really helpful when authors treat the community like that.
From my experience with this map; here's my results:
Pros - - I like that the map has pre-spawned enemies - I like how large the map is to explore - I like the style and design of everything; Medieval castles are fascinating. - I like that at the end, there are books in case you wanna spawn more waves. This gives a feel of "You broke through the guard/bandits, but now the alarm has sounded and everyone is gunning for you now."
However, I have found a couple of issues with it.
Cons - - The large size of the map results in fps drops and lag spikes - I had several instances of the map loading textures slowly, resulting in blurry textures and awkward pop in. (Those two issues may vary from PC to PC, so they can mostly be looked over, but it might be something to think about). - A lot of the terrain objects (Stairs, boards on the ground, rocks), are so tall, that attempting to walk over them instead stops you. (this makes backtracking a pain, and often means in combat, you'll keep getting stuck on the terrain while fighting). - The enemies pathfinding seems to be broken. Often they will just stand there, and will only attack if you get in range, even if they see you.
I also found several issues of objects floating in the air, including a couple of rocks, a massive pile of firewood, and a few other objects. But these are minor issues. The biggest problem, is for such a massive map to explore, the majority of objects in it, cannot be interacted with. When I play a VR game, and fighting enemies, I want to be able to get into a fight, and desperately grab random objects off the table to whip at my enemies or smack them with them. It adds to the visceral combat feeling that Blade & Sorcery has.
Love the map though, and really enjoyed it. Keep up the good work!
wow, this was quite a fun experience, however getting around the map is abysmal since the engine doesnt know what to do with the stairs and objects strewn around

P.S.
I'm not sure if you have covered this in another comment, and that is that the stairs and door bumps are hard to get up from.
