Really Addictive and great mod, gives some structure to B&S before the official dungeons is released.
Bugs I found -
Walls generate intersecting the path between rooms meaning 2 times out of 5 I have to reload level, I ended up solely playing the small dungeons because there would be less chance of getting halfway through then having to reload.
Some enemies would fall through the floor in the right angle rooms so most of the time you would have to reload because you couldn't progress until they were all dead, having a kill at depth kind of thing like you get on some maps would fix this I imagine.
Z Fighting on floor and walls, missing segments of walls
If I could suggest some improvements they would be:
Add some depth and climbing, it does get repetitive after a few hours having the same square rooms, if you could incorporate some kind of climbing or having to jump between platforms between levels would add an interesting element rather that follow a simple path.
Boss guys get so big they are useless because their attacks are too high, easy just to knock them over and repeatedly stab, maybe have armoured knights instead?
Keeping inventory between Dungeon home and a dungeon, having to pick your sword each time becomes a chore, I would love to start with a dagger or something or keep the longsword each time so you don't have to repeatedly go into the other room.
later level dungeons just have over a dozen enemies spawn which ends up making the game laggy. not sure how to fix this other than buff the enemies or maybe add something similar to the vanilla waves?
All in all one of my favourite mods, ive put almost 600 hrs into B&S and this has renewed my passion for the game.
There definitely needs to be a killing depth added to these maps, it's impossible to play larger sized dungeons because every time without fail some enemy will fall through the floor on the right-angle L rooms and make it impossible to progress.
I think the mod is broken, from what I've seen in videos, there's meant to be enemies spawning in that room, and the door opens once you kill them all. But the enemies don't seem to be spawning!
Has the makings of a good mod but needs lots of work still. I have tried playing through 5 times and 4 out of the 5 times I didn't get a key after killing the first batch of enemies. The only way to actually play from the start of the dungeon to the end of it is to play on small dungeon just because there's less likelihood of a bug preventing you from going through. One of the times I played through a wall was blocking the hallway so I had no choice but to reload the level. Great concept, just needs a lot more work. Hopefully once the bugs get hashed out I'll be able to come back to it.
Excellent mod with unprecedented potential. The only ideas that I think would take it to the next level are these; weapon durability (something to make weapons break after so many uses making it more difficult to crawl dungeons and forcing the player to be creative in a pinch), the shop having only base game weapons and possibly some added weapons of the developers choosing to moderate balance and pricing, when the player has obtained the key and is going through the curving hallway, maybe having an enemy hiding there waiting to ambush you would add some spice and pizazz to dungeon runs (extra points if it's modeled after a goblin or some sort of monster), diversity in enemy assets (re. Goblins, monsters, all that fun dungeon themed stuff), and last but not least, the option to spend a large amount of gold to change the theme of the dungeon (themes could include an underworld theme where the textures have a more red or purple undertone with skulls and skeletons littered around, a kingdom theme, stuff like that). Admittedly, are just ideas that are very ambitious and not very realistic for one developer to tackle, however, they're changes I'd really love to see.
I would recommend having your changelog available somewhere on the download page. Failing that, having it available somewhere outside of the game would be a good first step.
