first make sure you have this mod installed (and add it into the requirements later when publishing your mod) in unity, make a trigger collider by creating a collider and checking the trigger box. after that you add ", { "$type": "FoodItemFramework.FoodItem, FoodItemFramework", "FoodHealing": 10 }" to the end of the modules section in the json (like this) and you're done.
Could there be an "Immersion Version" which only has the realistic foods that aren't also products? Like Bagels aren't exactly period appropriate but they blend a lot better than Doritos. I know I can work around the meme foods, but I'm more inclined to download a more grounded version for what I want from this game. I also agree about with what @Drasios said about force feeding enemies poisonous food, or even a way for enemies to feed themselves. Seems like it would be an easier animation than an NPC pouring a potion in their mouth.
