About this mod

A set of enchanted weapons, all emitting unique auras. Each weapon has its own unique design, effects, and story behind it. Make the enemy fear you!

Permissions and credits
The weapons themselves work like normal, but each utilizes the Unity Particle Engine to create visual effects for each blade, axe, hammer, and shield. Destroy your enemies in style.

The two centerpiece weapons of the pack are Demon of the Mist and Holdfast. They are the highest quality weapons in the pack and are balanced to perfection. The other weapons vary in quality, as I used this pack to learn how to efficiently make weapons and use the Unity Particle Engine.

Story:
Shield of the Dragon - In the later years of the Third Era, the current Archmage was challenged by the king. "Prove your loyalty to me. Make me a shield that can withstand the fire of a dragon." The Archmage, skilled as he was, set immediately to craft this weapon. In cooperation with the finest blacksmith in the castle, an ornamented shield was created for the occasion. To ensure the shield would hold up to the standards of the king, the Archmage engraved a rune at the tip of the shield. This rune would absorb powerful magic, and imbue the weapon with its power.
The Archmage personally set out to finish the shield. For days, he tracked the dragon Krosyovvah to his lair. The dragon was known for his fierce temper and territorial urges. Upon the sight of the Archmage, a battle set forth. Bracing behind the shield, the dragon let loose a fiery inferno onto the warrior. The shield held, absorbing the dragon's breath. With his task complete, the Archmage subdued the dragon and fled back to the castle. The king, pleased with the Archmage's loyalty, rewarded the Archmage with his own tower atop the castle, built specifically for the Archmage's needs. The tower is still in use today, currently belonging to the current Archmage.

Sword of Dawn - A young and ambitious blacksmith spent most of his days studying different weapon designs and building them himself to test them out. He quickly became popular in his small village, earning himself the title of Town Blacksmith. However, one day a hooded stranger arrived in town. Unknown to the blacksmith, he slipped a new page into the book he was studying to build weapons. The new page spoke of how to create enchanted blades. The blacksmith, inspired by the new page, took to creating a design for a longsword.
In a few days, the blacksmith had the weapon crafted and ready. Lucky for him, a solar eclipse was expected to occur. He took advantage of this to imbue a round, polished rub with the power of the eclipse and placed the gem in the middle of his new weapon. Proud of his new work, he set it on display in his shop. However, he did not know that this was exactly what the hooded stranger wanted. In the night, the stranger snuck into his home, killed the ambitious blacksmith, and claimed the weapon for himself. The next day, the stranger was gone, and the town needed a new blacksmith.

Deceit - This blade was once wielded by a lowly soldier whose name has been lost to history. All that is known of her is that she fought in the Tragedy of the North. Upon this skirmish, the two sides clashed in battle, slaughtering each other in the night. However, not long after the battle waged, the soldier realized something as she plunged her blade into her foe. They were not fighting the enemy, but rather their own forces. In horror, she pulled the blade from her ally and looked to the battlefield. Everyone still fought on, unaware of the fact. Grabbing up a fallen flag, she used what little magical knowledge she had to light it ablaze and ran out onto the battlefield with her helmet off. "Stop fighting!" she yelled over and over as she sprinted across the warzone. "We're killing our own men! Open your eyes! We-" her words were cut short as a spear plunged into her back. As she fell onto the battlefield, the soldiers began to realize what had occurred. Before any aid could be provided, the soldier was gone. In the cleanup of the tragedy, her sword was found, radiating with the energy of sorrow and regret.

Guardian Sword - There was once a young boy. He had grown up poor and alone, sticking to the streets to guide his path. One day, a brawl between him and the local bullies ended in him falling off a bridge toward his death. However, rather than his life ending there, he froze midair. Surprised, the bullies looked to find a cloaked stranger advancing upon them. In fear, they fled. The man quickly came to the boy's rescue, pulling him through the air with strange magic. As the boy went to thank the stranger, the man pulled his hood off, much to the surprise of the boy. Standing before him was the Archmage. He tried to say something, but no words would come out. The Archmage only smiled and went on his way.
The boy spent the next years of his life growing strong and practicing his fighting. He soon enlisted in the military and trained extensively with the sword. In no time, he became the best in his platoon. In hopes of finding the Archmage again, he rose through the ranks of the military, soon reaching the position of Commander. From there, he called for a meeting with the Archmage. He quickly explained who he was to the Archmage, who only grinned at the dedication of the soldier. The commander dedicated his life to the protection of the Archmage, in hopes that he could someday repay the favor. Inspired by his dedication, the Archmage granted him his wish and made him his close Guardian, his Right Hand. He gifted him an enchanted blade and taught him the ways of magic. He soon became a feared figure in history, and stories are still told of him today.

Holdfast - In the Third Era, there was once a noble commander. Respected by his comrades, he led efficiently and won many victories. However, a day soon came where the commander was told to do the impossible. He was to advance with his troops to take enemy territory. it would be a simple task, if not for the terrain. The territory was located on top of an obsidian mountain, still burning with ash. The only way to the top was a narrow valley, exposed and vulnerable. Forced to follow orders, the commander led his men into an ambush. Caught in the heat of battle, the troops were pinned down, with escape being impossible. The commander balanced the odds and took his hammer in hand. Without warning, he solely charged the enemy. The soldiers, realizing the plan, took the opportunity presented by their commander to escape back down the mountain. The soldiers waited for the commander to soon join them, but he never arrived. A recon was sent up to the mountain sometime later, and all that was found was his hammer, blazing from ashes and sitting atop a pile of corpses.

Sword of a Lost Hero - Nothing is known of this blade. It was found stuck in a tree trunk in the woods. The blade glows when held, giving off a mystical and ancient aura. The weapon itself is old in design and weathered by the elements. For some reason, the blade seems familiar to anyone who has seen it, yet no one can remember who once wielded it. Almost as though the figure no longer exists.

Demon of the Mist - There was once a village located deep within the mountains. A myth has stuck with the village for centuries, of a lone figure seen whenever mist rolled into the valley. This figure wielded a massive and heavy axe, powerful enough to cleave a man in half. The figure was responsible for almost every disappearance of a villager for the last three eras. On one particularly misty day, the leader of the village's daughter disappeared to the mist, with only her chopped remains to be found. Furious and in grief, the leader of the village called for the aid of the Archmage, as every soldier they sent out never came back.
The Archmage soon arrived to deal with the issue, a plan in mind. This figure... no, this demon has survived for three eras. The only explanation is that it is immortal. The Archmage met the demon within the mist, sword in hand. The demon used the mist to his advantage, disappearing to the fog and reappearing at new locations. However, the Archmage quickly learned his patterns and anticipated its reappearance, plunging his blade into the demon. The demon chuckled at the frivolous attempt at killing it, however, the Archmage was grinning. Realizing all is not as it seems, the demon began to smoke and burn from within, turning into a swirling cloud of mist. The mist linked to the nearest object, the demon's axe. For his crimes, the Archmage imprisoned the demon within his very own weapon, taking the trophy as a token.

Knuckle Axes - There is barely anything known about these axes. All that is know is that, in a town near the king's castle, a house suddenly disappeared in a flash of black mist. The only thing left of its foundation or the residents that lived there was a black puddle, with two knuckle axes sitting within.

Steel Defender - There was once a town known for its infamous Spirit Water Creek. It consisted of a shallow cave, lit up by the glowing river water. The place was nice to relax in after a long day. However, there is a door built in the wall of the cave that leads to the true Spirit Water Creek. The door opened the way to the most difficult dungeon in the land, full of vicious, cunning traps and unbeatable enemies. However, without warning, the dungeon was cleared one day. No one knows who entered and cleared the infamous dungeon, but the reward was mysteriously left at the end to find. A single, enchanted sword, giving off a chill aura.

Wanderer - A blade once belonging to a renowned adventurer, promptly named the "Wanderer". He was known for showing up at random villages and towns across the world to solve the town's problem, then disappearing as soon as he arrived. No one knows the true identity of the Wanderer, or what his motives are. However, his sword was found unattended in an abandoned camp alongside the road. The Wanderer was nowhere to be found, and he never showed up again.

It took a lot of work to make this mod, so please tell me how I did! My next weapon pack will be the polar opposite of this one and contain a bunch of random everyday items to use as weapons. However, feel free to suggest any 3D models you want me to turn into a weapon!
