   Downloaded it, played the game, couldn't find it, came back here and saw that APPARENTLY you need the bazooka mod. But, instead of prompting you to install it too, you did nothing.

      It clearly shows Requirements right on the mod page and Nexus does prompt you as long as I add it as a requirement. You may have just skipped it.

   So I downloaded the mod and installed it, but I can't seem to find it in-game

      It should be in the Exotics category.
      Don't forget the Bazooka mod (item shooter/explosive weapons framework) dependency. Do you have that installed too?
