This weapon has become my most used weapon in the entire game, no other modded weapons have replaced it, and using it is always a fun time, plus the overall design of the sword is very pleasing to look at. Praise forge-master Spiked, I shall decapitate some cultists in your name.
this tulwar is by far the best beheading/limb severing weapon i have ever used. With other blades, both vanilla and modded, i felt like a clumsy 9-year-old playing "knight" with an old stick. but with this sword i felt like a certified badass. that feeling was only compounded when i wielded a tulwar in both hands. the first person i killed with this weapon was with a beheading. another time, i lopped of an enemy's arm then proceeded to lop of their head before their body even began to topple.
its not just the effectiveness of the weapon i love. the texture, and design makes it really feel like a part of the B&S world. none of that stupid "freshly laminated" look to it. i really really wish there was more of these historically accurate weapons and less time-paradox creating guns, pop culture references, video game rips, and goddamn weeb swords.
please keep doing these awesome weapons. I'm definitely going to download the rest of your arsenal and find out if they also wow me.
If i might possibly make a request though? there is a big lack of polearms in the B&S mod community. the ones that are there already either look terrible, or are aforementioned pop-culture references.
Thanks very much! It's nice of you to take the time to tell me. I never really know whether people like the way these things play once I've released them.
I haven't got any polearms in the pipeline at the moment, partly because I've got a few other half-finished things I want to finish, but also because I don't actually think they're much fun to use. I just find them a bit sluggish. That's just my opinion of course.
That said, I make these things for the fun of making them rather than playing them, so let me know if there's a particular polearm you had in mind, and if I get some spare time I may have a go at making one. Cheers
Yes! I was interested in seeing a halberd in the game, specifically, the kind that had the somewhat concave axe blade.
don't feel the need to rush. i am a very patient person.
edit: didnt realize how many halberd heads fit that description, so heres a picture (https://www.5zywiolow.com/shop/30997-thickbox_default/mercenary-2nd-ed-renaissance-halberd.jpg).
heres another example (https://cdn0.rubylane.com/_pod/item/287526/5163/16th-Century-Iron-Halberd-Northern-Bavarian-full-1A-2048%3A10.10-35-f.png)
feel free to add your own artistic touch to it or change it up a little. i want to see what creative decisions you make.
p.s. be sure to treat the axe blade like a cutting edge and not like two dagger points
