Advanced Damage and Health System


This mod adds an advanced health and damage system with per-limb health, bleeding and broken limbs.

Limbs
The body is split into 7 regions: Head, Chest, Stomach, Right/Left Arm, Right/Left Leg. Each limb has its own health pool: 35, 85, 70, 2x 60, 2x 65 for a total of 440 relative health points. Relative because it scales with the NPC's max health (so health modifiers should be compatible).

Broken Limb
When a limb reaches 0 health, it breaks. This is fatal for the head and chest, but stomach, arms and legs just come with a debuff: Faster hydration/energy drain for stomach, sluggish controls for arms, reduced movement for legs. Any damage sustained to a broken limb will distribute the overflow of damage to all other limbs, meaning that you can die from too much damage to any limb. You cannot heal a broken limb unless it is fixed first.

Bleeding
You can also sustain bleeds from slash and pierce wounds (unless inflicted by a fire imbued weapon) on unarmoured or leather-covered areas. Pierce wounds can turn into a heavy bleed if penetrated far enough. Bleeds will continue to sustain damage to that limb until bandaged and drain your hydration faster.

Bandages
The mod comes with two bandages: "Bandage" for a normal bleed and "Advanced Bandage" that cures both normal and heavy bleeds. Bandages can be applied to any limb, treating the selected limb as a priority. Select the limb and perform a wrapping motion with the trigger pressed to apply a bandage. Both bandages can be purchased in the shop.

Surgical Kit
There is also three "Dalgarian Surgical Kits" with 2 (T2: 3) uses. It is capable of fixing a broken limb, but it reduces the limb's max health by 50% (T1: 25%, T2: 10%) each time it is used. To apply, select the limb to fix and hold trigger until the limb is fixed. The surgical kits can be purchased in the shop.

NPCs
NPCs also use this system, meaning you can break their legs, inflict bleeds and kill them with a well-placed attack. Enemies are also way more lethal, as a blow to an unprotected head or chest can cause serious damage.

Hydration
You will also need to manage your hydration. If it reaches 0 you will slowly take damage across the whole body (so you can die easily!). Bleeding and a broken stomach will reduce your hydration faster. You will also not be able to increase your hydration while the stomach is broken. To replenish your hydration you can eat or drink food/potions (check the stats of each item for more info).

Energy
You will also need to manage your energy. If it reaches 0 you will slowly take damage across the whole body (so you can die easily!). A broken stomach will reduce your energy faster. You will also not be able to increase your energy while the stomach is broken. To replenish your energy you can eat food (check the stats of each item for more info).

Stamina
There is also a stamina bar now meaning you can't just run and jump forever. If it depletes you won't be able to run or jump until at least a bit of the bar replenished. Be aware though that running and jumping will increase your hydration and energy usage.

Weight
Your character will also have a maximum weight capacity that you can wear, holster and have in your inventory. If you exceed 50% of your capacity, your stamina, hydration and energy will drain faster and stamina regenerates slower. Your maximum capacity will increase by 10kg for each body crystal tier you unlock.

Eye Strain
Helmets will now be visible in First Person View. This can be turned off in the mod settings. I affectionately dubbed it "Eye Strain" because it can be a bit irritating to look at.
