Hi! i love this map so much but unfortunately i cant play it well, cause of preformance. Could you please make a version of this (or make an option when choosing this map) to be less preformance-heavy? i would very much aprreciate it.
Hey there! I love this map and Neolithic Village map! I have a couple suggestions based on things I've experienced in both maps:
- I'm noticing the leaves of trees are on a more front "layer" than visual effects for spells. Like, when I shoot a fireball it appears "behind" the tree's leaves even though the trees are far away, if that makes sense. Any way to fix that? Happy to send you a video to show you what I mean.
- I noticed the foliage on the ground rotates to face the player's head rotation. I understand that is likely for performance reasons, but it does get disorienting when the foliage turns as I turn. I'm wondering if it's possible to redesign those pieces of foliage to be more static but still look ok.
- A weird one but I noticed that my hand haptics for weapons and spells stopped activating while on this and the Neolithic Village. Not sure what may be causing that but thought I'd let you know.
Overall, I still love these maps, I love the ambient sound effects you've added, as well as all the objects to interact with in the village! Thanks for reading!
Thanks for the comment! The tree's leaves in these maps are VERY jank, they have some hacky shader stuff going on to get them looking decent in game. The billboarding ground foliage is due to the assets being 2d planes, which look very bad when viewed from the side. I may in the future make some of my own foliage assets for some maps, which would likely fix some of these issues. As for the haptics not working on my maps, that is very strange! It doesn't happen on my end but I would very much like to hear if anyone else is having that issue. If any map makers know what might be causing that, I would be very appreciative if you could leave a comment or reach out!
